I wasn’t wrong. You need to read the thread properly. I know you’re all excited because the law has been broken, as usual, you try to change the discussion mid thread.
Boris didn’t know one way or the other what was in his own Bill.
Try again.

Stop digging and admit that Boris didn’t lie at PMQ’s. He said P&O had broken the law, many on here gleefully stated he lied. P&O have now publicly admitted they wilfully broke the law. Even the most ardent Boris haters can’t turn this one around, although I’m sure you’ll give it a try…….

You’re right Pete. We’ve finally had a week of PMQs when Johnson didn’t lie. He’s set a high bar for himself going forwards.

I don’t even have to try that hard lol. As you well know, Boris said that P&O had appeared to break the law, not as you have stated above. Confirmation that he didn’t actually know. You knew that had the time because you tried to pin the blame on his Civil Servants giving him the wrong advice!
Now P&O have confirmed it for him. You don’t have to be a Boris hater to “turn it round”, as your 90’s Poster Girl might have said; the issue is not for turning.
To sum up for you; P&O broke the law and Boris couldn’t confirm whether they had or they hadn’t until P&O confirmed it for him.

I don’t know why I bother…….

It all depends what the crew have in their SEA’S and how it relates to MLC.

I know for a fact some of them were payed 6 months wage, so I expect most will have been.

Not saying it’s right(it’s a disgrace) but in most SEAs they will have a notice period for termination contract, if in their SEA it has a months notice as per MLC minimum standard then P&O will get away with it no problem, as they have payed them what they where owed and more.

If the PO managers took notice of EU law not to sack EU nationals as is reported then why did they think it’s ok to ignore U.K. employment law.
If a business is in trouble they should start to look immediately at the management structure and make the changes there Usually bloated overpaid cliques that look after number 1 and deal in the short term.
PO used to be a well respected U.K. shipping company when I was at sea a bit like British Airways used to be Quality first but now they’ve acted like this they are in the gutter imo
