He's 29, so still some time left in him.
He is 29, he was an Everton fan "all Liverpool's best players where" and he wont be joining Man United. I know Rooney, an Everton fan, an Everton player joined your team, but an Everton fan, once playing for Liverpool joining Man United is unthinkable. Whoever gets hold of him, will be a great move. He will always score goals.
Spot on mate.
WC 2010 is his last chance to play for England in a tournament, everyone knows he loves playing for England.
He wouldn't go to United to sit on the bench most weeks.
He's 29, so still some time left in him.

I know you dont like United mate but the thought of Owen and Rooney fighting the evil empire must have some appeal![]()

I hate United and I hate Owen, you deserve each other.
He'll just get in by being at United. Bang a few in, his international record writes the cheque, fergie will have a word, he'll be at the world cup next year no matter if he doesn't play every week. Fa cup, carling cup, and comfy champs league games will have him playing around 20 games or so.
Another one bites the dust
I have'nt really got that much against United to be fair mate, i dont dislike them anymore than i do any other team. My main reasoning why i feel Owen wont join United centre's on several issues. One, i dont believe Ferguson could guarantee him a regular starting place which would not be the case if he moved elsewhere. Owen is looking to get back in the England fold and without regular football, this would not be possible. Two, with £80 million in the bank recouped from the Ronaldo deal, i feel Fergie has bigger fish to fry and i am almost certain he will be bring one or two top class strikers in with that money. Of course, Owen moving to Old Trafford is not an impossibility but if he wishes to move for footballing reasons, surely Manchester United is not the place for him. Just my opinion Nev.
EDIT: Was'nt it skybet that broke news several months back that Rafael Benitez was leaving Liverpool in 24 hours, he is still at Analfield.
Neville, what's your thoughts on replacing Ronaldo and Tevez with Valencia and Owen????!!!!
Valencia looks good, but playing in front of 18,000 at the JJB in the 'big game' against Bolton is a world away from the thick end of 80,000 at OT against Milan/Juventus/Barca etc etc. Owen: I'm sorry mate but that one is the most bizarre signing in recent years if it comes off. The upside is that it'll piss a good few Kopites off!!!
I can only think that Ferguson is keeping his powder dry for now. Though I'd be concerned if I were you that this isn't seen by the Glaziers as a summer they can get away with pruning.
