Our Fans

Stickers will sort out anyone with a potty mouth. In the meantime, most full-backs in particular have always got it at home throughout the history of our glorious club. If we had Maldini and Cafu at their peak in the same side each one would have had it on alternate weeks. It's the Everton way.

Not even bothered by people who give the odd negative comment. It's the sitting in silence which is the real killer. People say all home fans are quiet but we are without doubt the worst for it. Don't know how thousands of people can sit and make such little sound.

Nothing a good fart doesn't fix mate, breaks the ice and gets a response!

I think there’s some yellow cards you can get from the stewards to hand out to anyone abusing the players with foul language etc.
Think you have to put it up in the air like a ref would then hand them the card and they will stop swearing or whatever.
There’s a little bit on the back were you can write there name and seat number down too

Whilst I think we have to most amazing fans anywhere, travelling home and away . I just think that the way some fans think it’s ok to berate and slag our players off is diagusting . Last night the fans behind me constantly shouting obscenities at our own players , Myko , McNeil Barry etc . I wouldn’t want to perform getting all that abuse , yes the first two had shocking games , but they are the scapegoats now DCLhas moved on . I know everyone has the right to make their own choices . But come on blues let’s get behind the lads . If some one had said we’d be 3 pts behind them across the park after 24 games I’d be buzzing
They don’t perform that’s the problem, yes Barry has scored a few goals recently but his overall performances have been mediocre, he’s got time and has looked better but the other 2 mentioned are absolutely useless.

Agree. It's obviously effecting Dibling as well. He looks terrified of making a mistake/receiving further criticism. Classic example was him not shooting and passing on responsibility late on with a shot being the better option.
That’s also on the manager. His choices imo is more about not getting minutes and scared to make a mistake as he knows he will be hooked or left out the next game

Its interesting how people think giving players hugs and kisses is going to make them better players.

Iwobi was a scapegoat for a while for us, being pretty awful and going into his shell.

What did he do? He pulled his socks up (figuratively) worked hard and his form improved...........became one of our more important players and is now seen warmly towards fans, and probably would still be contributing here if it wasn't for Dyche, or PSR or whatever. remeber in an interview him speaking about us fans as mad, demanding but will get behind you if you show your hard work and bravery on the ball.........he's pretty much spot on.

You dont become a good player by going inside your shell over some criticism, you thrive off that sort of stuff, if you cant handle that, go and play for Burnley
Dibling is very obviously quite a shy kid, seemingly quite sensitive.

People should be able to use their brains and realise that different players have different personalities and some need more support. It's not gonna affect Tarkowski to hear some one shout at him that he's a useless Yard Dog. For Tyler something similar could really be a knock on his confidence which is already on the floor.

Besides all of that, on a human level it's wrong for fully grown men to be screaming abuse at a 19 year old kid. Really is as simple as that, no one would think it was ok if it was happening on the street. Why people think it's OK just because the player is making x amount of money and is surrounded by security is beyond me.

I thought the noise in the 2nd half was very good & after our goal fantastic - they rightly booed the team off in the 1st half , but that was down to DM - picking the wrong team & getting his tactic wrong ....

Not sure about this, I hated Iwobi 🤣.

Our fans......are no different than any other set of fans. Moaning at players is par for the course for fans of clubs. Even fans of clubs that regularly win things moan. You'll never please all the people all of the time. Has it got worse over the years? In the 60s, the great Harry Catterick got dogs abuse for dropping our hero Alex Young for a young Joe Royle. Fans moaning, annoying but pfft.
It's alleged the fans attacked him at the Blackpool game.
