Our best player so far this season?

Who deserves the credit so far as most consistent player?

Well, the thread was titled "best" & i was thinking immediately of Saha, but then the poll said "consistent" & so I think Hibbert edges it.

Saha gets my vote hands down. In second would be Howard (you need to reassess on him BB, you're more and more on your own with the Tim hate) and then it gets hard...

Fellaini has been improving rapidly but in the early parts of the season was poor, probably a combination of 2nd season syndrome and his virus/weightloss/gammy teeth, but he wasn't up to speed and the team set up wasn't helping him.

Hibbert is Hibbert. I love the white Cafu but the thread asks for best and Tony is rarely our best. If we were voting on love of the club, commitment in adversity or "guy you'd want next to you in the trenches" then Tony's No.1 but best player?

Pienaar - mostly injured but looking great now, Baines - not at his best but consistant and saying Heitinga forgets a number of very average performances while getting up to speed, we might as well say Coleman on what he's shown in the last few games.

No-one else really deserves a mention.

On balance I'd give third place to Fellaini, all things considered.

I went for Howard! Some might say its obvious coming from me, but it was between him and Saha really!

To say how can Tim Ive let in 30 goals already and its not even Xmas yet Howard get some votes is blaming him for every single goal and is a little presumptuous! Something a few of us have been accused of in supporting Howard in the past.

Theres an article on the official site about Moyes praising Howard and calling him the best in the Prem right now. That from the man who see's him every day in training and on match day!

:D Bless him.

Saha although he hasn't been on the pitch consistently.

I'd have also given a vote to Howard only because he's kept things closer in many of the games where he's been let down by our defense.
