I have no idea just how strong they'll be next saturday.

I thought they may dip from last season's form. Thought Clarke might suffer with 'second season syndrome' and Lukaku not being there will be a loss.

When did they 3 make their debuts for United? hardly Ajax fanny flapping youth team players out.

Southampton have the best youth set up in England in my opinion.

Southampton aren't challenging for titles. The point was, United are the only team out of City, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal, the RS churning out youth players from the academy to help them win things. The rest are spending their way to it.

Might not be Ajax in their pomp calibre (though it has in the past) but if all the rivals aren't doing it, it'll have a effect as a whole.

I think to compete you have to spend... but spending on the right type of player is how it should be done... not just signing everybody just because you can... like Man city did..... also the English players getting bombed out is just proof that they were not deemed good enough... this is backed up due to spurs lack of League titles this decade.

They can spend 100mill on foreign players and still not win anything too.
