Okay, I appologise for my initial response to your post, but I honestly don't understand how you can't see that Spurs have greatly strengthened not only their forst 11 but also the squad as a whole....... if I had to put money on any of the so called chasing pack to finish 4th this season I would lump it all on spurs ...and by a good margine too..... at this time unfortunately for us they are streets ahead of the likes of us, them over the park, Arsenal, Swansea, Villa..... they have a very very good squad and are looking to bring in 2 more quality signings today. I will get shot down for this but I will be shocked if we are within 10 points of them this season.

They could have improved and probably have, or they could have just bombed out 4 players that have been good for them for a few years, a good core of British players.

I find it very unsettling, that British players are getting bombed out so quickly.

Also, Spurs do this every year. They spend a fortune, and do no better.

I am bitter though, you are right with that !

Difference this season is they have a top drawer manager who although is signing big money players they are the right type of player.... not like Harry's wheeling and dealing.

You are probably right. Im just saying that spending loads of money does not guarentee succes.

Infact, stats prove exactly that.

I think to compete you have to spend... but spending on the right type of player is how it should be done... not just signing everybody just because you can... like Man city did..... also the English players getting bombed out is just proof that they were not deemed good enough... this is backed up due to spurs lack of League titles this decade.
