From one egg head to another.
Let us just forget about Wessels, Carsley, Stubbs and McFadden then eh ! The others were only loan signings one of whom never even got a game.

Should even a thousand fans decide not to go to Kirkby then we will be back to 35/36,000 fans. Ah but silly old me I forgot that Lieness has forecast that we will pick up fans in the famous "Manchester Corridor". How stupid of me.

I would remind you that when we were winning all sorts in the mid eighties the average attendance was no more, probably less, than 38,000.

i did mention summer releases so stubbs and mcfadden we last season's releases. i'm not sure i understand your sentence tbh. are you agreeing or disagreeing?

the mid eighties was a time of poor attendance in football. most teams struggled to get 20,000 on the gate.

honestly, i read your post again.. but i'm not sure of the point you are making.

everton only have 38,000 fans?
the eighties was a time of low attendances?
kirkby will have a lower attendance than goodison?
is kirkby and surrounding areas the manchester corridor? really?

ah, cheers namdrater.

from that list 4 were loans.

and 2 left in january.

funny how you can make anything fit your perspective!

Just the same thing you did Teppic. He never mentioned summer, you assumed he meant that so you could fit it into your perspective.

Even the most ardent optimist would have to conclude that we are in a bit of mess. The reasons are many:

• Six players maybe seven out, none in
• The lack of marketing presence within the City
• The continuing shambles over DK
• The request for an EGM
• The kit fiasco
• No contract signed by the manager
• The clubs pitiful marketing strategy

We could add to the list but what’s the point? No amount of spin spewed out by Ross is going to convince any Evertonian of any intelligence that the club's leadership and management are in good hands.

We the fans have let this happen, we have looked away while the club has continued to stumble from week to week into a shambolic state.

15 squad players, how on earth did it come to this after a fine season from manager and players last season.

It seems, we neither have the stomach for the truth and the bottle as fans to enable change.

That is all!

The points he made where all valid. I think some of u need to get the [Poor language removed] removed from your eyes.

David Moyes HASNT signed a new contract, hes been discussing this contract from what i can make out for a few months now. So hes clearly not happy about something.

We have lost players, loan, youth whatever type of player, we have still lost them. These players with the exception of maybe Gardner made up places on the bench if nothing else. This season we will have to field 7 subs, do we have 18 fit players atm? 18 Fit decent players? I cant see it.

The injuries to Cahill, Vaughan, Baines arent going to go away, i believe that these players will struggle all thru their careers, possibly even Arteta.

Marketing? Do we even do that?

You lot can bury your heads in the sand for all i care, me i wanna see some action, i want to see DM sign his contract and i want the 5-6 players he said we NEEDED. If this happen all the other stuff will go away.

Yes we finished 5th and did wonderful, its a great time to be an Evertonian AGAIN. We can hold our heads up high in the City and thru the country. But with a LOT of teams below us buying some great players, i.e Spurs. Unless we sort something out we will struggle this season.

We all been here thru the good and the bad and we will all still support our great team, but if any1 cant see the problems you just deluding yourself. YES they should get sorted, but at this present time we have only speculation to cheer us up. Oh and the 4 year contract to CPT Phil!!

I assume you are the one who assess the injuries to the above players? Are you a physio? I really cant see how you can say these players will always be injured. As for the speculation only to cheer us up. Sorry the fact that we have got in Europe 3 out of the last 4 seasons, the fact that all other teams outside the top 4 now aspire to be like us is not speculation that is just fact. Surely the speculation is coming from yourself saying that eveything is really bad and we are going to struggle. You are speculating that moyes wont sign his contract and also speculating that we wont sign any players, lets just wait till the transfer windows shuts and then see where we stand

Well i think you all mis-read my post, im sure Moyes will sign and im also sure he will buy the needed players to kick us on. My post was merely pointing out that ATM these things havent happened. Im 95% we WILL have a good squad @ the start of the season, its just getting me down the LACK of movement with Moyes and also the LACK of signings.

As a life long season ticket holder i would like some action for my investment in the team. I buy the tops and untill my kids made it impossible i went to as many away games as i could.

Its a good time for us fans, yet we are left in limbo and we get little to no information, some of the info we get is misleading.

Why cant some of you see this? Why cant you admit that we havent signed anyone and we have a very small squad? Why cant you admit that Moyes has YET to sign his contract?

Im not trying to be negative, im seeing it how it is. Yea these issues might be resolved, but can anybody really see us signing the 5-6 players Moyes says we need? And just a little question, if we sell AJ, does that mean we need 6-7 players?

Quite right there. Until these issues are resolve, it still remains an issue. I'm quietly confident things will happen for us soon. I hope. I'm not panicking yet.

Fair do's to you mate great post the reason why i think you got the reaction you got was because a lot of us are fed up at seeing all the doom and gloom and negativity when in reality there is a lot to be positive about our grand old team and yes of course we see we have a small squad, and obviously we see that moyes has not signed a new contract however like you admitted in your last post a lot of us also believe he will sign not only his new contract but also the required players. So surely with you admitting in your previous post that moyes will sign the contract and get the players you surely have nothing but optimism instead of the apparent negativity which seemed to come across in the original post. The squad as small as it is has far more quality than when moyes and the current board took over and the current state of the club is surely one to be proud of than some of those of the 90's and early 2001--2002

ok.. we all agree, marketing seems a bit poo..

yes, I am starting to wonder exactly what it is about Keith's pen Davey doesn't like..

..yep, I am a bit disappointed that any new signings we get will have missed the (by all accounts always highly productive and beneficial) US training camp.

Granted, it's not a nice feeling to know that we're looking like starting the season with an 18, and maybe an 11 that will, by necessity, contain some 'make-weights'..

I am a little concerned that some people keep chuntering on about the window not closing until the 31st August, apparently forgetting that the season would already be 3 games old (you can mock, but if we are to mount a challenge against that lot for 4th, we can't miss out on those points).

.. and I think we all accept that it would be naive to assume that the GONW Stadium decision would not have an impact on spending either way (that one's for you Mr Ross, love ya(y))

So, what can I do about it?

Well, actually, [Poor language removed] all.... so I'm off into the garden with a nice cold beer... it's sunny out, I recommend everyone else does the same

Cheers b)

I have to admit I will be a lot happier when Moyes signs .I just have this feeling that there is something we dont know, Davy is not the type to leave things open to interpretation without reason:unsure:
