Player Valuation: £40m
Even the most ardent optimist would have to conclude that we are in a bit of mess. The reasons are many:

• Six players maybe seven out, none in
• The lack of marketing presence within the City
• The continuing shambles over DK
• The request for an EGM
• The kit fiasco
• No contract signed by the manager
• The clubs pitiful marketing strategy

We could add to the list but what’s the point? No amount of spin spewed out by Ross is going to convince any Evertonian of any intelligence that the club's leadership and management are in good hands.

We the fans have let this happen, we have looked away while the club has continued to stumble from week to week into a shambolic state.

15 squad players, how on earth did it come to this after a fine season from manager and players last season.

It seems, we neither have the stomach for the truth and the bottle as fans to enable change.

6 players out? Who are they then? At least 2 were loan players who didnt cut the mustard. As for players in Moyes is working on it.
City presence, got to agree with you on that one
DK shambles, Where is the shambles, were waiting on a decision from GONW which should have come a few weeks ago
EGM, dont quite see how this the clubs fault that they have magoo type fans
Kit, again how is this the clubs fault? Apparently the 1st batch were of sub standard quality so the club quite rightly said No to them and sent them back
Moyes will sign when he is ready too, he wouldnt be working on deals if he wasnt going to sign

Great post! Lets get a firing squad to the board. Fifth place...there having a laugh arent they? Bring back the glory days of the 90's and the superstars of the last 15 years I say.

The trouble with people like you is you think you know whats going on, your a product of an age where sitting online all day listening to conspiracy theorists warps your sensibilities to the point where you actually believe your in the loop. News flash. Your not. Im sure there are good reasons why people do what they do. The board have a job to do and if they dont do it, then we'll have something to moan about. If we didnt make Europe, would you blame the board? Marketing? What are you on about? A good team playing good football and winning things is the whole freaking idea about marketing! You wanna sell Everton? On what grounds? Past successes? You gotta build a team just like you gotta build a marketing plan. So you cant find Everton merchandise in Liverpool? Thats aload of garbage because if I can buy an Everton shirt halfway across the world, you can definatley buy it in Liverpool. Look at us Asia! We came fifth! Follow our Team, Americans! We arent as good as Manure or have the superstars of Chelsea but here we are! We did ok in the other European competition!

Your right that its a tenuous time for our club, but we should be embracing the fact we are on the up as a team, and not slandering and moaning about who we havent signed. Im sure we'll sign someone. Im sure we'll sign a few players. The very fact that now were at least looking at the Arshavins and the Moutinhos when we were looking at the Kilbanes and the Kroldrups is lost on you. Im sure since we all have cameras watching the board and hear what Johnny's uncle who knows the janitor at Finch Farm has to say about affairs we should all rise up and make the big decisions.

We are lucky not to be plying our trade in the Championship after the tripe weve been served in my lifetime. But now, theres little rays of hope and stability, where there was just darkness. If some multi billionare sweep us off our feet and injects us with hot mazooma, at least we have a good solid foundation on which to progress. If not, we will keep on plugging away, commending the team on how weve done with such little resources.

And every now and then, sure some people will throw their toys out of the pram sighting the toys the rich kids have to play with, but thats life. Get over it pal.

I think if things really are as bad as some people think, sure you should take action.

Im not against ousting anyone doing a crap job, but are things really that bad? Or is it just over-reaction?

1) Six players maybe seven out, none in

6 players out? are you including youth players that were released? assuming you are talking about this summer then it's carsley. 2 players loan agreements ended. although we might renew or even sign fernandez.

2) The lack of marketing presence within the City

there are many threads already discussing this. it's not just the city it's a national and international problem.

3) The continuing shambles over DK

there are more threads than i can count about the stadium, so i'm not going to help turn this in to one. but the month delay by the government can not be blamed on the board. the EGM is a reflection that some evertonians are against the move. but we need not worry too much about them as most claim they will never watch the team again if we move. :P

4) The request for an EGM

i think 3 and 4 cover the same base?

5) The kit fiasco

wrong, wrong, wrong. it would have been a fiasco if we had all ordered our kits and they would have arrived off-colour, snags in the fabric and poor sewing at the seams.

it was a brave and correct decision to demand better from the supplier.

6) No contract signed by the manager

moyes is not going to walk out of the club next tuesday because his contract has expired. he still has one year left on his remaining deal. he is, according to numerous reports, in discussion over a new one. ok?

7) The clubs pitiful marketing strategy

are 7 and 2 the same point? drama queen.

in conclusion, and i've thought carefully about this... do one egg head.

if we had just survived a pitiful season on goal difference, with woeful old players and no sense of direction then you might find my ear with a post like that.

however, everton are on an up not seen for 25 years. so i disagree that any one near the club should 'open their eyes'.

i know kipper is down so you want to post this tripe somewhere else, but please not here.

how about you 'open your eyes' and see what a fool you are making of yourself.(y)

We should never have sold Marco Materazzi. He won a world cup and we would have been sorted if he was still here.

Maybe we would've sold him for £20 million!!

That and Dacourt, bring Dacourt back!!

Oh and get Bilic back from retirement, that should just about make us world beaters.

They're not listening on this forum mate. It's all good....apparently.

The six/seven players are McFadden, Carsley, Wessels, Fernandes , Stubbs, Gravesen, Anthony Gardner. I'm not worrying about the squad size, because the manager said he wants 5 or 6 more players, so I assume he'll have the right ones ready by the end of the transfer window.

On the other topics, you can read above.

ah, cheers namdrater.

from that list 4 were loans.

and 2 left in january.

funny how you can make anything fit your perspective!

Wow, after reading that........

Pass me a rope, blade, 1000 asprin, bottle of vodka, gun an a eletric fire for my bath!!
