No because he was walking to the police and they tried to attack him. one with a skate board an the other who got shot but didn’t die pointed his own gun at him before he was shot. Really he shouldn’t have been there and the rioters shouldn’t have either but don’t try an attack someone with an assault rifle an expect him to not use it.
I haven’t been following the trial closely so these points may have been addressed - how did they know he was walking towards the police vs say just looking for someone else to shoot or just walking running away?

“Don’t try at attack someone with an assault rifle“ - shooting attacks are unfortunately fairly common in the US and it isn’t always the police who subdue the attacker and stop further loss of life.

So just allow an active shooter to do whatever they want simply because they have a gun? Perhaps the police should have made some effort to disarm him as opposed to letting him casually stroll back towards them after killing a man.
Police where told to stand down hence why people like him went armed in the first place. He was walking to the police no ifs or buts about it. you have to be stupid to attack someone with an assault rifle. People died which is sad even tho I could never feel sorry for the child rapist. Fault is on both sides he an the rioters shouldn’t have been in the area to begin with.

One things for sure - I'd hate to live in the US. Absolutely terrifying country. Low general IQ, incredible racism, loads of massive egos and high calibre weaponry under every bed.

Basically the top end of Northwood in the 90s stretched out over an entire country.
An amazing yet terrible country

Couldn’t the second and third people Rittenhouse shot have also plausibly used the same defense if
they had instead killed him?

Overall you can understand why the verdict was reached given the laws regarding self defense and still be concerned about what will likely happened at other protests in the future.

This, really.

There'll be protests over this no doubt and this verdict will empower the Proud Boy/Gravy Seal's to head to it and every other protest they don't like armed to the teeth, knowing that if anyone reacts to their provocation they can open fire.

Well done.

The police where out side of the area where he was walking

yeah maybe but if your not armed to attack someone. Who has an assault rifle your going to lose more than you win. If you have time watch the trial. It gives you a clearer picture and you can see why he was found not guilty. I am not going to talk anymore on this now people lost their life’s and that’s not right. He shouldn’t have been in the area neither should the rioters. It’s a shameful turn of events all round and with everything in America it seems to be so politically driven.I expect to see riots but not guilty was the right decision. I feel if he was found guilty the other side would riot too so you cant win either way.

Its basically like a man carrying a knife into Liverpool city centre, getting tackled by a few people for having a knife, stabbing and killing them in the process, then saying well I was only defending myself from being stabbed by my knife.

Think at the next BLM protest, the protestors should all carry guns. If not, this will happen multiple times as it will inspire more right wing nuts to head to the protest hoping or knowing they can kill a few people and get away with it

No it’s not it’s illegal to carry a knife in Liverpool. Its not illegal to open carry a gun in some states in America so completely different.

It’s illegal in Wisconsin for anyone under 18 to carry the weapon Rittenhouse was armed with.
He should have been found guilty of that but judge took lesser charges off the table. He was innocent of murder. I feel they could of found him guilty of something. He shouldn’t of had the assault rifle an he shouldn’t have been there.
