Great to see the Royal Blue Liver Bird.
Thought for a minute, the curling was taking place there!
A priceless masterpiece, iirc, it's kept under a big wooden(?) cover and only comes out on special occasions.

Great picture!! That was my sweet shop of choice going home from school 1964-1970.Jones sweet shop in Huyton Quarry - half was sweets & the other half was ironmongers - he had a stool & you could purchase a large glass of pop for 1 & 1/2 p - he had a Guy Fawkes firework club a book over 12 months of saving - - he sold cannon Bangers rockets well before Bonfire night his wrip raps were great when you let them off in a full bus queue by the Seel Arms & watched the adults jump knee high from the other side of the road just as the bus was arriving the kids would be laughing like mad ....-

Similar, I used crosvilles H8 to H16 and the corpy 6s. The 89 was also useful if I missed my 81 home from school (in Hunts Cross)The old Crossville H buses H11, H 16, H 14 - ran every 20 minutes or so plus the 89 on Liverpool road that went like a snail stopping every 200 yards & the 7d that was terminus was just outside Archway road Huyton .... great buses I used to use .....
