…..Ogdens was my sisters first job after leaving school in ‘60s, I can still distinctly remember the tobacco smell from her overall hanging under the stairs.

The old Crossville H buses H11, H 16, H 14 - ran every 20 minutes or so plus the 89 on Liverpool road that went like a snail stopping every 200 yards & the 7d that was terminus was just outside Archway road Huyton .... great buses I used to use .....

On the corner entering the old Huyton Village the owner was German & got his name changed slightly just before the war - a great shop -
