Now we are safe...

I think for the integrity of the league we have to play the strongest side we can, as upcoming results could have a profound effect on the relegation battle. We owe it to those sides fighting to give it a proper go
Southampton face winnable games include Everton. Nice motivation for us if we need it.

Just to remind people that Vlasic is a No 10 , he is not a left winger although that’s where our managers have chosen to play him

The minute Gylfi got injured and he'd already decided to play Rooney further back this lad should have been given a chance in his natural position if he wasn't going to give Klaassen any game time, in my humble opinion.

We haven’t given it a proper go all season so really to keep things fair we should just continue to stumble home in the remaining games.

With Southampton failing to win tonight, we are officially safe (yes I know, we probably were weeks ago!)..

Safe tonight and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow, tomorrow Sam'll be gone
Safe tonight and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow, tomorrow Sam'll be gone
There's a log on the fire
And it burns like me for you
Tomorrow comes with one desire
To take Sam away (oh it's true)

..after we played Southampton away I feared for our safety. That was as bad as it gets. I honestly wouldn’t have thought with a few games to go, the Saints would look doomed whilst we’d be in calm waters. Funny old game.

The 'managers choice' has been good at not winning all season..

i think we should play an 'interested' side.

In the interests of fair play to the relegation battlers, we should play the same load of dross who have represented us all season...?
Stuff fair play, get Everton fixed!

Obviously this is the right thing to do. But a good manager would be peppering his side with fringe players and youth players to see who could make that step up. Some may even point out that this should be done from the first game of the season and targeting certain matches with certain players so that they are at peak performance levels when they come in and regulars have plenty of recuperation time within the season. Alas, with the 3 managers and the prospect of a new one next year, this is strictly pie in the sky stuff for this season.

Come on Big Scam, do the right thing, put in Klassen or Vlassic and give Niasse a bit of a run. Give Benny some game time from the start alongside Davies. I have little hope of this happening whilst Big Scam is here though.

Bizarre.

Pickford

Coleman - Keane - Funes Mori - Baines

Baningime-----------Klaassen

Davies

Walcott-----------------Vlasic

Tosun

I've personally wanted to see this for a while now, even if just for one game (Newcastle or Southampton home games ideally). If Holgate were fit I'd have him in there ahead of Keane.

If anything that's a decent mix of youth and experience, we'd certainly look a bit more mobile overall.
