I understand the whole bring back wayne thing but where is the club suppossed to get the funds for the transfer? Reckon he'd consider taking a pay cut but how muchh will united want for him? Fellaini+£10 million? Would love to see the boy wonder back to where he belongs and with him in the side and a couple of great signings we could find ourselves competing for title.

He's signed for Man Utd lads, close the thread.

Rooney - fellaini would/could be a straight swap. No way we'd have to give 10M too

Name them, and tell me how realistic a move they would be for Rooney?

You don't have to name all 20, but how about 5 of them?

It's not about how realistic, you said he would be as valuable at our club as another big club. So for arguments sake Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool, Milan, Juventus, Inter, Munich, Dortmund, Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, hell, even at LA Galaxy.

I don't think he'd be a success at all of those clubs as a footballer, but that wasn't the point.

I actually said that he would have a higher profile if he was banging them in at Everton every week, rather than sitting it out on United's bench due to playing second fiddle to RVP and even the likes of Wellbeck.

You said 'he could go' to 20 other clubs that could offer him a higher profile than Everton, but he couldn't, because 75% of the clubs you mentioned just aren't interested in him, or Rooney wouldn't be interested in joining them.

He can only go to clubs that are attractive to him and who are willing to invest big money on him, which is a very small pool of clubs.

Are you his agent? Or else how could you possibly know that? He's one of the biggest names in footy, he's not going to be short of a job.

The ones that Rooney would consider aren't interested in him (Barca, Real Madrid), and many of the other ones you mention would be less attractive to Rooney than Everton. It all amounts to the same thing, quite a small pool of real potential options for Wayne Rooney. It's only my opinion but that's what a forum is for.

His eldest child is probably about to start school soon. I'm obviously not Wayne Rooney, but if I was, there is no way I'd be putting him in a class full of crazed eye-ties when I could have him going to some posh effort in Cheshire. Especially when he would eventually have to return back to the UK in a few years anyway.

I can't see him wanting to move abroad.

Do they not have posh schools in Italy like ?

Probably man, but I'd still be against it. Think he would be much better off going to some posh effort in the Northwest.

His bird is preggers as well, and she's being looked after at the women's hospital in Liverpool apparently. As if you could be arsed uprooting her to Italy. She'd have no pals over there and would develop post-natal depression in no time.

I'm getting the strong impression that an ex of yours ran off with an Italian stallion mate.

No, but that's another reason why he wouldn't want to go there, he'd have to deal with a load of long haired ponces trying it on with his bird all the time.
