Breaking news: Everton have tabled of bid of £10 a week for the next 267 years for Lionel Messi.

Deffo accepted though.

If we bid for Messi and have the offer accepted, then what would you say? Smokescreenitis?

I would go and buy 3 shirts with Messi 8 on the back. Oh and clearly feel good.

But whilst we are getting rejected by players and pissing about with crappy bids, I will stay a bit negative thanks.

I guess I cant be positive just for the sake of it, show me 1 thing that has happened this Summer that has been positive.

Lescott hasnt gone.

Some cracking responses to Duncirk in this thread, but I couldn't +rep any of them cos the lads in question clearly say things I agree with regularly.

If Barca accept £10 a week for however long (like the Blades accepted our bid) then it must mean something.

  • No first team players sold
    No new long term injuries
A positive preseason (in terms of results)
    Yakubu making a comeback
Season tickets sold surpassing previous seasons sales
There still being three weeks of the window left and Moyes admitting he is still looking to recruit

Take your pick.

Why wait till the last 3 weeks, when the season has started, when there's been about 5 weeks to get deals done, get them fit, and give them a 'good ol' Moyesy pre season?

  • No first team players sold - Yet.
No new long term injuries - We only have the 4 from last season, oh what joy.
A positive preseason (in terms of results) - Pre-Season is pointless, its a mere fitness exercise, results mean nothin.
Yakubu making a comeback - I must have missed it.
Season tickets sold surpassing previous seasons sales - Again, means nothing if we havent spent any money.
There still being three weeks of the window left and Moyes admitting he is still looking to recruit - He has been looking since last season finished.

Take your pick.

None of them are any good, try again.
