..we lack a player who runs with the ball from central midfield, we lack a central midfielder who gets us up the pitch. Vlasic looks that type.
It’s lots to do with balance and blend, I think he’d be on the same wavelength as Rooney because they both appear to have a football brain but Rooney needs runners around him and Vlasic is a weak link when the opposition have the ball. If Rooney and Vlasic start I think it will give us a lot more attacking threat but leave us weaker from a defensive perspective. I suspect this is why he’s not been getting games.
I think it's great that when it gets rough for him, his sister and father comment to the media. It shows he has a strong support network.
His sister is weirdly attractive.
Must remember top have my eyes checked...
For me it is why Wilshere being a target would be fine as well, another player who can get on the ball without crapping his pants and actually go forward with it.
Wouldn't shock to see him getting a start in the city or rs game, in many ways for the manager to 'prove' himself right by not playing him...
..you might recall me posting that Vlasic reminded me lots of Wilshire. I turned around to my son at the game he started against Arsenal and made the comparison because his low centre of gravity and running style was so similar it was uncanny. Before we splash out on Wilshire, it could be worth giving Vlasic a run.
You wanted him here Zat.Or (here's a novel idea) play him?
Shown that he has the talent and desire to succeed which is far more than most.
He and Lookman should have been getting games to bring them up to speed for next season...Holgate too.
Instead one is in Germany and the other 2 aren't being played.
Truly bizarre.
Vlasic = good
Wilshere = football brain dead fragile overhyped lump. No thanks.
Ideally thats what the rest of the season should be about mate, BUT we have a short term manager in so why will he care about longer term development goals, he will just look to get as many points as he can by however means and thats the reality.
and yup remember the comparison you made, for me, get Wilshere in on a free, and get Vlasic some minutes this season, Wilshere and him would give two for the position, and with Wilshere not exactly being made from the toughest stuff would give Vlasic chances next season - and having an older more rounded version to learn from wouldn't be the worst idea either...

With the exception of one solitary England performance, EVERY time I've seen Wilshere he has been squalid. He simply rubs into a crowd until he's either dispossessed, falls in his arse looking to the ref, or gets injured.Remember reading similar posts about Walcott. He is in a different league to most of our players. On a free, Wilshire is surely worth a punt? Further to this, Arsenals rejects seem better than Man utd rejects.

Had enough of sicknotes, would like some robustness. It's bad enough paying footballers a doctor's yearly salary each week, it's worse when they're missing due to yet another injury.
