I see his dad’s piped up.

Not worth the hassle that.

He’s good but he’s hardly pulled up trees.

Got mixed feelings on it.

On the one hand the Vlasic family is obviously talented and as a result will have a big ego. I can't help but think that this may have played a part in the lack of games, after Unsworth initially dropped him in favour of some of the younger players he knew better from his time managing the U23's. Maybe Vlasic reacted badly to it, or the family was vocal at that time behind the scenes and the club didn't take kindly to it.

Having said that, he's come over and had a run of games under Koeman and showed he was one of the better players in that time. Only to now be completely overlooked for players that have not performed well all season. He was given a chance at Limassol (along with Lookman as I said). Vlasic got an assist and a goal in that game, whilst Lookman got 2. If our experienced first team members had easily dispatched Limassol at Goodison then I could go along with it being written off as poor opposition. But our first team put in a pathetic display and yet Lookman, Vlasic and the youngsters with barely a first team appearance among them went over and battered them 3-0. If you were Vlasic's father, wouldn't you be annoyed at the lack of games given how poor we've been?

The family still need to accept he's only 20 though, not the finished article and he's no longer the star prospect at some no mark club in Croatia, who they would do well to remember got easily dealt with by one of the most cowardly and disappointing Everton sides in the last 25 years despite their fans doing their best to intimidate our weak minded players.

Niksi was a star player in Hajduk Split, he scored his first goal when he was 16. I don' t really understand his status in Everon, especially due to fact that coach marked his role on last game as a positive. Vlasic is not a winger, he is best as a second striker with the freedom to play or Sigurdsson role behind a striker. Hopefully he will get his time in Eveton, but anyway he is mentally strong and I watched him enough to be sure that he will top player in a year or two.

Welcome to defensive midfielder FC

Now we have 40 points I would be looking to see if Vlasic can do a job in the no10 role with Tosun now finding his feet.

Vlasic and Lookman have the potential to become fantastic footballers but are not at that top level yet. Game time is what they need.
Look at Chelsea when they had Lukaku, De Bruyne and Salah. All 3 are world stars now but they needed to leave and learn their trade elsewhere.
Not saying they can reach those levels, but unless they get a chance we will never know.

Sent him out on loan, best bet would be Serie A or Primera. He would truly shine out there

Or (here's a novel idea) play him?

Shown that he has the talent and desire to succeed which is far more than most.

He and Lookman should have been getting games to bring them up to speed for next season...Holgate too.

Instead one is in Germany and the other 2 aren't being played.

Truly bizarre.

..we lack a player who runs with the ball from central midfield, we lack a central midfielder who gets us up the pitch. Vlasic looks that type.

It’s lots to do with balance and blend, I think he’d be on the same wavelength as Rooney because they both appear to have a football brain but Rooney needs runners around him and Vlasic is a weak link when the opposition have the ball. If Rooney and Vlasic start I think it will give us a lot more attacking threat but leave us weaker from a defensive perspective. I suspect this is why he’s not been getting games.
