I see his dad’s piped up.
Not worth the hassle that.
He’s good but he’s hardly pulled up trees.
Got mixed feelings on it.
On the one hand the Vlasic family is obviously talented and as a result will have a big ego. I can't help but think that this may have played a part in the lack of games, after Unsworth initially dropped him in favour of some of the younger players he knew better from his time managing the U23's. Maybe Vlasic reacted badly to it, or the family was vocal at that time behind the scenes and the club didn't take kindly to it.
Having said that, he's come over and had a run of games under Koeman and showed he was one of the better players in that time. Only to now be completely overlooked for players that have not performed well all season. He was given a chance at Limassol (along with Lookman as I said). Vlasic got an assist and a goal in that game, whilst Lookman got 2. If our experienced first team members had easily dispatched Limassol at Goodison then I could go along with it being written off as poor opposition. But our first team put in a pathetic display and yet Lookman, Vlasic and the youngsters with barely a first team appearance among them went over and battered them 3-0. If you were Vlasic's father, wouldn't you be annoyed at the lack of games given how poor we've been?
The family still need to accept he's only 20 though, not the finished article and he's no longer the star prospect at some no mark club in Croatia, who they would do well to remember got easily dealt with by one of the most cowardly and disappointing Everton sides in the last 25 years despite their fans doing their best to intimidate our weak minded players.
