i think he was given that role against apollon...I agree about him running at defenders, i’d really like to see him doing this from a central position.
Could cause havoc with our defense possibly.imo one of the few players who is prepared to run at players and can create magic moments

He was one of the only players to come out with any credit during Koeman's stint this season. At 19 years of age, coming in to a new league.
Since then he's been given the odd substitute appearance, and bizarre starting places after not playing at all for about 4 games. How is any player supposed to perform well in those circumstances, let alone one who is young and inexperienced in this league?
If he was one of the young lads who came through our academy there is no way people would be effectively writing him off so early like you did in the post before this one where you said you don't think he's very good.
Would like to hear why you think that? Genuinely though, I am not saying it's wrong as it is your opinion.
I have seen the talent. But it’s soooo inconsistent that I’ve grown less arsed about him being included.
As everyone has said it’s not just him, the whole team has been like that, but I was a little shocked at how slow on the ball he was when seeing him live and in person.
That could be nerves, trying to impress to much or he could just not be as good as we hope he is.
Allowing him this bedding in time is probably the right thing to do out of the first team for now as he’s so young.
So much this. Fat Sam whinges about how the players are not performing after we lose 4 in a row and barely makes any changes of personnel. "I don't tell the players to lose the ball" then keeps on picking players who lose the ball. Imo, it's a case of "what could POSSIBLY be worse than the absolute dross we have seen for the entirety of this season?"Fair enough. He has been inconsistent but I think that's true of many players that age and they need to be given time.
He was Koeman's signing so obviously played more then but I think he's been badly managed by Unsworth and Allardyce, but maybe there is a bit of an attitude problem that we're not aware of.
I think under Koeman he showed an intent to run at players and weighed in with the odd goal or 2.
What frustrates me a lot with the way Lookman and Vlasic have been treated is that other more senior players haven't performed to an acceptable standard and yet these 2 haven't been given enough of a chance. Our senior players couldn't even beat Limassol at home and then when we sent the kids over to Cyprus, both Lookman and Vlasic were too good for them. They were given a chance to prove themselves, did so, and were then overlooked so we could waste time playing the likes of Schneiderlin, and rushing Bolasie back who has still been inconsistent since he's come back.

For me should be up there ahead of Bolasie in the team selection.
Shown a lot more than Klaassen
