He is a charismatic man no doubt. I'm glad he had the balls to drop Siggy for a match as well. Where we really fall short as of right now is having a team that can play football against the minnows such as Bournemouth and Newcastle. We just have to improve whether it be tactically or in the starting 11. How Schneiderlin continues to feature is beyond me. Vlasic also needs to stake his claim, but he should have been given an opportunity earlier. At least he recognizes that.
....I know you (and I) were keen to see Vlasic in the team but looking at last nights game I do understand the reluctance to play him and Lookman at the moment. As you said in the transfer thread, the acquisition of the right players could bring out the best in some of our fringe players. Until then, I think we have to accumulate points the hard way.
By the way, surely Allardyce meant what he said about Vlasic.

I think he would have to learn that side of the game, just as Barkley did last year. I’m not convinced that he’s ready to play centrally as you have to be exceptional to do that no 10 role in premiership as that area is so congested. IIRC earlier in the season he was having decent games playing wide and Koeman moves him centrally and he disappeared from the game. I think he needs a bit of space to thrive - a bit like Barkley really.
..it’s a very good point about him learning that part of the game. I was never a fan of Barkley playing out there.

Its easy to be critical when you can imply that you have not had an opportunity to sign your own players. Tories have been doing it for years blaming anything that's wrong on the previous labour government. People for some reason tend to believe it.
..agree, but I don’t hear him blaming anybody. He just highlights the teams shortcomings which appear to be the same points as being made on here.
