Messed up his career leaving arsenal really. His spell at Madrid was quite good, spurs very good when on loan under Harry, rubbish under AVB. Mind as you say he must be 30 now? Like I say on the right deal, as part of our striking options think he'd be a good addition. Better than jelavic anyway!

Id probably get laughed at, but what about Shane Long, was going for £6m in the Summer but in Jan will only have 6 months left on his contract. Ship Jelavic out for £4m, put all that to Shane Long, would be a very good backup to Lukaku i reckon.

After seeing his 2 goals vs Villa, I don't see why you would be laughed at...those were world class finishes.

For us, Shane long strikes me as a 3rd choice striker.

Which he pulls off once or twice a season at best. He's never been a prolific striker, even when playing in very good sides for the level he's been at, barring one season only for Reading.

Avoid like the plague IMO - he's a mid- to lower Premier League standard striker.
