feel sorry for the guy, thought he was really going to slot us goals for fun for years with those one touch finishes, such a shame hes lost all his confidence and to be honest i think he knows how ****e he is, still got a tiny bit of hope deep down he will start firing again but just cant see it, limited footballer.

What worries me more is that he offers literally nothing in build up play either.

Lukaku is a fantastic finisher but it's his build up play which impresses me more, it's frightening how good he his.

Way too many chances now to prove himself... Even when he was on a run, I thought to myself he doesn't have a any build up play just a first time good finisher, so what happens when he comes unstuck? You gotta have more to your game. Look at Barkley for instance teams just surround him now and get loads of bodies in the way of goal, but he has more to offer in his build up play. I'd deffo sell him this jan at any cost his stocks fell dramatically

Been waiting ages before commenting on him. You cant just watch players a handfull of times and make knee jerk reactions on them.

But Jelavic has been 5hit now for far too long. I appreciate RM not changing a winning side as it sends out good messages to the squad. But in any 4-5-1, 4-2-3-1 system you play, your forward HAS to have something about them in order the hold the ball up and bring the midfielders into play.

Jelavic is just doing nothing atm. Workrate and fitness are the absolute minimum requirements for a pro athlete. Hes not, scoring, hes got no power, no pace, touch like a rapist. Its awful to watch him.

Huge credit to Martinez for a double sub at half time...Jela needs to be removed from the firing line for a bit and given a rest. Hes not responding to being given constant faith, he didnt respond to being sub to vic last season...im not sure what you do with him but for a club who want to challenge near the top he simply isnt good enough.

Have to agree he's had enough chances. Lukaku showed more in a half than he has all season. Kone deserves a start in the cup to show he offers more as a sub/occasional starter than Jelavic.

Kone was still injured as of Saturday.

I personally think we should field a good team in the COC. Lukaku uptop and give Deulefeu a run out. Give McCarthy a start as he should be fresh and needing match time. Maybe Stones in at the back somewhere.

Other than that, no point in mass rotation, we dont have the quality to do it, and we aren't in Europe. So there really should be no question of fitness issues. I want to see us lift a cup, easy route into Europe too!

If we could offload him in January and get a Hernandez-type who could make things happen when the deadlock needs broken late in a game we'd be a very potent threat in this league. I just hope there's a desperate enough struggling Bundesliga side out there in the new year to take him.

Tbh Naismith would do a better job up front. Jelavic's contract runs until 2016, which is a concern. I'd let him go for free in jan if there are takers.
