People are forgetting that the season he did well he had Timmy behind him, Eventhough Tim wasn't scoring his positioning used to draw away defender giving Jelavic space. Jelavic never played well with Felli behind him as Felli never drew defender away from Jelavic and changed our style to suit Felli as tall target man. Jelavic needs that time and space otherwise he just panics and crocks it.

Think about what you're saying here, Fellaini never occupied defenders? He probably gave back lines more hassle than most other forwards in the league last year. Jelavic only has himself to blame for the rut he finds himself in.

I never said Fellaini never "occupied" defenders, I just said that his runs never drew defender away from Jelavic's position, freeing up space for him. It's not a massive coincidence that Jelavic has been garbage since Timmy has left

Jelavic is not EPL standard...look at how Sturridge converted the chance against AV. Result 1-0. Against Stoke 1-0. Jelavic would/could have scored neither of those goals. hell, he hasn't scored in the league since December ffs!!!

I think Jelavic would happily move away from Everton as very shortly he will be a back up striker to Kone. I think that may happen next weekend.
I think RM would not be upset to lose for a decent fee.
It is very disappointing how badly it has turned out for him...but he really does look quite poor. He doesn't have much pace and for a big man has no strength whatsoever. It seems that he is a poacher of goals who needs to spend his time in the penalty area waiting for a chance.
I have no faith in him scoring now and even worse he offers very little as a striker leading the line.

He's a box player who looks hopeless in the box. Preseason he looked like he might have turned a corner, but he's back to his usual antics of throwing himself to the ground, running into blind alleys, and watching the ball drift by him when he does get himself into the box. I shudder to think we're going to be stuck with Kone plus Vic as our most 'potent' strike force if this feller is retained
