Nikica Jelavic

Thought he played well against Norwich but he was poor yesterday. He didn't get much service to be fair but I'd still expect Kone to come in next week.

Againsy Norwich he was looking good cos he was getting balls to his feet in the area. Against WBA, all he did was run channels and then pass back to Pienaar who then went to the center and more often than not the move broke down. There was no service to him at all, it began when Felli came up and Kone came on. I wonder if Kone and Jelavic will be played together.

You'd be happy to keep Jelavic this season if we could fetch a fee for him that could bring a replacement in?

We have a replacement don't we in Kone? We also have Velios, Anichebe, Mirallas really should be playing up front In my opinion. That would really upset a few people... Ha.

I would have Jelavic another season, no reason to ship him out so soon after Martinez arrival, next summer yeah. If we lose Fellaini/Baines that's bad enough, we have little cover in both those areas.

I think our options up front are poor, tbh. We have no idea what Kone can bring to this team yet, Velios is very raw and Vic gives you a one dimensional performance that doesn't deliver goals in volume. We really cant afford to go into this season when the transfer window shuts with this group. I have grave concerns over our lack of fire-power. Shipping Jelavic out seems to me the only option if we can get a fee and recycle that.

For £6m I would hope we do know what Kone can bring.

Kone aside, I would use the the bodies we have as competition, something the other fella never bothered to do, clearly persisting with and favouring Nika is what they both do, he was great in pre season.

6M is 6M in this league. It's a fee even clubs we consider to be not at our level wouldn't blink an eye at paying.

He should be started for the next few games though...league games, that is. I'd use Vic and Jelavic against lower league opposition like Stevenage - between them even they can surely be relied on to get a goal or two.

I think it's time to get Starvin' Marvin into the team, now that his Ramadan commitments have come to an end. He brought the ball down, held off a man and ran forward yesterday, which makes him the best striker at Everton as far as I'm concerned.

I can't believe Martinez never went for Darren Bent on loan. He'd be all over crosses like the one Coleman flashed across goal yesterday.

Infuriating at times yesterday but i do think he was trying

Kone should have a start I think. It might give Jelavic a kick in the bum and finally get him back to form to have a real tangible threat to his position

I'm guessing Anichebe and Naismith will start against Stevenage
