When strikers come to Everton, its inevitable that after their first season....the Moyes Factor kicks in.
Striker's graveyard, Everton.

I just don't get why he wants strikers to do everything other than what a striker should do.
Just pass them the ball in the f*cking box for God's sake, if their missing chance after chance then they might not be up to the mark but don't stick them out wide and have them knackered before they can even get in the bloody box ffs.
See Johnson, Andrew.
its because he builds his teams around a focal point - a target man from midfield who can muck in with defending when needed, and is expected to score goals along with the other midfielders (and defenders from set pieces). This means the striker isnt really the striker, he's a glorified winger

So this has now turned into a Moyes bashing thread?
It's more of a criticism about how he repeatedly fails to get the best out of some very good strikers.
But I guess we can look past it, afterall he did invent Everton Football Club and it's illustrious history single handedly in 2002.
What top strikers has he ruined tho? Because I can't ever remember us having a striker good enough for moyes to ruin.

Moyes has done very well at Everton in many areas, but it seems that the goals to games ratios of most, if not all of the strikers
he's brought here has fallen significantly.
Jelavic was prolific at Rangers, and at Everton in his first three months here. What's changed? Has Moyes changed the game plan? Is he expecting Jelavic to change, and if so, why?
It might be instructive to look at the tapes of his goals last season, and compare the service and forward set up with this season.
The problem is, is that when Fellaini is pushed back we control games better, but sacrifices his attacking threat (not all the time though.)
Maybe with Mirallas coming into full fitness we may see him pushed up front, as he did a good job for his former club there..
That's just what I think anyway , would be nice to see some change from Moyes at some point.
I know that won't happen but I'd try anything to get the old Jelavic back and Moyes can't just let things drift along and hope for the best.
No moyes didn't invent the club. But you know what he did do signal handedly stopped us from getting relegated, which is the way we where going.
Or are you one of these guys who just bang on about how he hasn't won us any trophies? Would you rather we won a trophy then got relagated? Would that of made moyes the best manager ever would it?
