He's not in the best of form but there is nothing being created for him, he spends most of the time challenging (and not beating) defenders for aimless balls.

Service wasnt the issue today... several times we broke only to see him wide left! i wonder if its moyes' tactics as the yak started to do the same and AJ was forever in the channels...

Because nothing is going through the middle it's all out wide. With no service to him in the centre.

You know who he's reminding of? Louis Saha. Great in flashes, but by and large massively anonymous.

He has the same characteristic Louis had of nothing sticking to him either. Every time the ball goes near him it seems to bounce five yards away, even if it's a simple .

He had no service today, he didn't get one chance, we didn't look creative today at all, we missed felliani and mirralas badly.

Agreed. And when we are full strength with our midfield, there are plenty of goals in the side as long as he is doing his part in keeping the defense pushed to give our midfield space. Much rather have him in right now, but today, he should have been subbed off for Vellios, not Naismith. Naisy was having a much better game and looked far more likely to score.

Actually, I don't think he's out of form, in fact it's the way were playing. We're just hoofing the ball up at him and expecting him to "do a Felli" when that will not work. Jelavic is all about us playing it on the deck and him getting into the box, a cut back and bam goal. Stop that long ball and play how we did against ie villa Southampton then I am sure he will be back on fire.

he isn't getting good service anyone can see that, how many one touch finish chances have even come his way, not many.

Then he needs to come deep for it then. A top striker wont allow a game to bypass them. Silver service isn't always available, I'm afraid.
