While I really like the look of Jelavic and he definitely knows where the net is, Im also a little wary of labeling him the new messiah.

A lot of strikers have come and hit the ground running only to falter away after the bubble has burst.

Yony Yeboah?? Amir Zhaki?? Kevin Campbell?? Pappe Cissi??

I have a good feeling about him but the true test is over time- I hope hes still slotting all over the show from August onwards!

Could add Andy Johnson to that list, he was bangin them in when he first joined.

Omg Moyes it's taken you 10 years but you've finally brought a striker that knows we're the net is. this lad is class. 8 goals so far. Hopefully make double figures this season. An next season this guy should be a 20 goal man.

Personally I reckon he is one of the best strikers around. A complete forward.

Jelavic, Feelings about the future

Does anyone else get the feeling that Jelavic is one of those players who has no loyalty? Don't know why but i have a feeling that in the summer or maybe next January he will sudenly start spouting about playing for a 'bigger' club. 'I wan't champions league football' etc etc

I can't put my finger on it, he just looks like a mercenary.

May be just me though.

he sees us as a stepping stone. he said that at rangers and said he wanted to play in prem. hes a class player and if we get a couple of good seasons out of him then i wont blame him for going, as i wouldnt blame any good players who want to progress because if we fail to get investment, talented players will not fulfill their ambitions and potential with us unfortunately.
