If there is blatant diving anywhere on the pitch and the ref/linesman sees it, then it should be a red card. If they don't see it, then nothing further should happen. The referees panel is corrupt and should be binned.

The only defense for Lanzini was that the challenge was poor, but the defender pulled out of the challenge before he made any contact. Lanzini took advantage of that challenge and went to ground. Good ban.

West Ham United's Manuel Lanzini was charged, following their game with Stoke City last weekend



Manuel Lanzini will serve a two-match suspension with immediate effect after his denial of a charge of ‘Successful Deception of a Match Official’ was rejected.

It follows the awarding of an 18th minute penalty for West Ham United against Stoke City in their Premier League game on Saturday 16 December 2017.

An Independent Regulatory Commission found the charge proven at a hearing today [Tuesday 19 December 2017].
