Niasse Ban for Diving - Consistency

Massive Dele Ali dive today.

Odds on English footballs hugely overrated poster boy and all round detestable player getting charged?

Absolutely not.
The pen? Have to say I honestly don't think it was a dive. The defenders leg clearly went out and made substantial contact.

yes, there was contact with Niasse, but he exaggerated it according to the geniuses on motd. Murphy even says tonight 'you can say he exaggerated it, but there is definite contact'. i almost feel embarrassed for him, cringeingly inconsistent
Absolutely this. The whole rule is deceiving a referee i.e. exaggerating things/making the most of it. Remember Murphy played for spurs too!!

Unbelievable, Jeff.

Every thing the buggers said tonight he also said about Oumar yet they wanted our man hung, drawn and quartered.

Calum Wilson today. Remonstrating with the officials to insist he hasn't touched the ball but in the post match interview clearly states he did. His remonstrations led to the offside being revoked and a goal given. Surely that is deceiving a match official and surely he should have the book thrown at him. Will he? Will he heck...

It’s only diving

FA off to tenerife for a week so they don't have to look at last night's game
Probably come out with something ridiculous like it only applies to the premier league and not the FA cup.

Niasse got done for exaggerating the fall. If that wasn't the case last night it just proves the whole thing is a joke.

There is never going to be consistent it depends on who they play for. Eden Hazard blatantly dives for a pen ( Bellerin does not touch him or if he does it’s the faintest of touches ) against Arsenal and they were queuing up to defend him.

If he played for a Bournemouth, us or West Ham he would be slapped with a ban.

It’s all about the badge on the shirt mate

I think the process goes like this regarding dives.

Does the player represent a club the advances the premier league brand.

No - dive
Yes - no dive

Can't do that. First player who was banned was playing in the 1st round when he took his dive. It will be that Danny Murphy is one of the panellists for the incident.

Always said that until a named player gets done then the whole thing is farcical.

There's been so many incidents of "deception" since Niasse' ban that not one has been brought to review. Hazard, Ali, Zaha, Lanzini...
