I don't know whether it's because I'm in the odd position of actually really wanting the Chiefs to win this one, but I'm actually worried about the Eagles where I might have had the resigned feeling of Mahomes' inevitability before. I think this Eagles' team can cause plenty of problems
I am not convinced at all that this is a better Eagles team than the one the Chiefs beat 2 years ago. We also saw Hurts play the greatest game he has ever played in that game. Then they had an Elite defensive line. Elite offensive line. Elite running game. Hurts playing at an MVP level.

There's no way in hell Barkley is running for 200 yards and 3 TDs against this Spags defense.

I feel better about this SB than any other.

He doesn't need to. Barkley is a much better outlet than the RBs the Eagles had 2 years ago (by some margin) and I actually think Hurts is a very underrated QB. The threat of Barkley is enough to open the rest of their game up and give the Chiefs D a lot more to think about this time around. This will be a battle. The Eagles weak link is on the sideline, gesturing and gurning for the cameras. The majority of my confidence comes from that gulf in coaching, I think on the field its fairly even

Rumors been around town for a bit now. I’d never heard anything specific myself but I had heard that his struggles might be tied to some behind the scenes issues. As soon as this came out a friend said he had and the local chatter is that it was an open secret for anyone connected to the massage places around here.

So anyway feel confident this is true and he’s got to go.

I’ve said this to others who seem to think that whenever they play the Chiefs think their own performance can determine the result.

The Chiefs, and the Chiefs alone will determine the outcome of this.

The d allowed the second fewest points in the league this season if we remove the final season game, and 4th fewest if you take it into account.

They have Mahomes.

There is little to nothing that the Eagles can do to sway the outcome.

Mahomes will need a meltdown, and the chances of that happening are virtually nil.

I don't think one person has ever made me want a team to lose more, and I like the Cheifs/Mahomes. Luckily my bro is a Philly fan (pray for me), so happy either way.

I am putting the bald facts out there

It’s very likely the same attitude that Mahomes has himself. It is what makes him a winner - he knows it all depends on him not the opponent. That is how winners think.

If you don’t like that view I really could not care less

The Eagles can turn up and hope for the best

I'm sure Mahomes would delighted with the comparison.

I don't think anyone is suggesting you are seeking popularity or reinforcement for your views, simply that you don't put forward a dispassionate or particularly objective case.

Given the Chiefs record over the last 7 years, its actually perfectly objective and supported in terms of results.

It is also the reason people ramble on about the refs as they have to find another reason for their failure to do anything to compete with them on the field.

To say they are favourites and a great team? of course it is. To suggest the game is already played out and the opposition are insignificant is just very silly.

When you invite hyperbolic statements you lose all objectivity
To say that in fact the game is almost certainly going to depend on their performance and not of the opposition is perfectly reasonable given their record.

You cannot make 7 straight AFC championship games, 5 Super Bowls, and say it is an 'out there' or 'wild' statement.

Clearly, there isnt another team out there that you can say that about, but it is what it is.

To say that it is a singular factor is a just a basic misunderstanding of outcomes are reached in complex multifacited events
