NFL 2024 Season

Didn't think at any time during that, that the Chiefs wouldn't win.

They just bore the life out of me. Theyve built such an aura that teams absolutely panic around them. They just melt down.

The game was for there for the Bills to win, and they kept failing in big moments (which is a credit to KC defence).

But Eagles bore me, Chiefs bore me. Will save my A/L for the derby on the Wednesday instead 😂

Just sick of teams doing dumb things against the Chiefs that get them beat. It's like managers giving away games to the kopites.

Buffalo went for 2 way too early in a game where you knew there would be more touchdowns. Then they gave away another point doing it again. Then those misses gave the Chiefs an incentive to go for 2 and they got it. A three point swing and lo and behold, the Bills lost by 3. If they just kicked extra points the score would have been 31-31 and they could have punted at midfield and played for overtime.

Not watching this Super Bowl, we all know what will happen and I don't need Tom Brady's horrific punditry and 100 commercials trying to tell us the world will be OK when it definitely will not, followed by cheeky ads for crypto and Jesus.

Only seen the highlights but feel a bit sorry for Allen. He didn't seem to make any big mistakes and did what he needed to do on the 4th downs.

One is a first down, and the other has to be a catch - you need someone to make a play, and they didn't.

Not the superbowl I wanted but I will still watch. As much as I'm not a Chiefs fan, you can only respect what they have done. Unless you play completely error free, you are probably going to lose.

Mahomes methodically went down the field twice in the 4th quarter in a very calm manner and came away with 10 points. He also closed the game out with the two first downs at the end. All of that was when the pressure was at its greatest. He was making it look easy.

Allen by contrast had about 4 turnover worthy plays, got 2 tds on 4th downs and had to throw up a Hail Mary (which admittedly should have been caught) in order to keep pace.

We went to our run game far too late as well. Once we started trusting it more we ended up getting 12 unanswered points and took the lead in to the 4th. The first half was far too easy for the Chiefs defence.

The online discourse that I've been seeing following the games last night is.. interesting.

The general sentiment seems to be that people are simply fed up of the Chiefs, to the point were there's becoming a clear disconnect between fans and the NFL on the back of what is perceived to be an inherit bias towards them all for the sake of 'entertainment' and 'drama'. The noises are so loud now that even the networks like CBS & FOX seem to talk about it all the time - even Sky Sports here in the UK were discussing the treatment that the Chiefs/Mahomes get during the Divisionals last week, with more than one suggestion that the biases do indeed exist.

Generally, people don't seem too happy that the Superbowl this year won't be featuring any of the Bills, Lions, Ravens or Commanders and, given how exciting this season has been up to this point, I kinda get it. I wouldn't be surprised if this ended up being the lowest viewed Superbowl game in years..

Aren't all 'dynasty' teams loathed outside of their own fanbase though?

Personally I'd sooner see Andy Reid dominate than that creepy slob belichick.

I was fairly ambivalent about yesterdays game until it started and things were on a knife edge in the 3rd quarter.

For some reason I absolutely am really desperate that the chiefs complete the threepeat now, simply because I think its a record that will never be broken and raise us into the greatest dynasty ever.

The Patriots for me, frankly, were 2 seperate dynasties neither of which matched the accomplishments of the Chiefs should they win in a couple of week times.
