We ain't getting Mourinho but I'd want him just simply so can fix the ship over the next 2 years then bugger off.

Don't settle for Howe or Dyche, IMO throw everything at Arteta. Bloke knows the club, knows what we stand for and has worked enough under Pep.
Mourinho doesn't fix anything. In the last 10 years, his MO has been to rock upto rich settled clubs winning trophies, add expensive players to an already expensive squad, win even more trophies and then bugger off after pissing off the players, fans, media, etc.
His term at United showed how good he was at fixing anything. He left them in anarchy, so much so that an incompetent manager like Ole looked great compared to him.
Bielsa or Howe would be better choices.

Gallardo from river plate, young ambitious attacking coach who plays multiple formations already there most succesful coach in there history winning to 2 copa libadores in the procees.
Might be worth a punt or maybe he's one for next season.

....I can see Brands considering the S American market, rather than plucking somebody from the PL Merry-go-round.

I feel the club does not want to sack him now and end up with the Koeman scenario of a caretaker in for too many games.

They should be actively putting the feelers out to potential replacements.

The media seem to be already talking about who the new manager could/should be.

Even if we win the west ham game it does not mean all things are rosy as we will probably lose the next 3.

You'd hope that he had a shortlist ready throughout his own tenure which needed updating periodically. Even if Silva had been a raging success, you still need a back up just in case he gets poached or hit by a bus. These events happen quickly, and need to have a plan in existence ready to go at the drop of a hat.

You don’t know Everton very well.

It’s cluster to cluster with no contingency.

We wont be getting anyone half decent if we are putting the feelers about whilst Silva is given a few more weeks in the job - can you imagine Jose or Allegri happy to sit waiting on a maybe from us incase Silva goes in 2-3 weeks time?

No chance these blokes come to clubs like us on their terms - we either sack him and go all out for them or we'll be waiting on the likes of Van Bommel, Cocu, Howe and duffers of the like.
