Interesting. You start by saying that you would not want Fireman Sam anywhere near the club, and then list several good reasons why we need him.

Well, we might consider him, might even want him, but we certainly don't need him. Yes we need a manager who can address those issues and more within the club. He may be able to do it, (we know there's no guarantees) but surely he can't be the only one.
His off field antics, history should dictate we look elsewhere regardless of any managerial coaching qualities he may have.
I'm not convinced either that he would do what was required anyway. Promote youth, getting shut of the old guard clique, leave a stable foundation to build for the future? Doesn't sound like Allardyce.
