McGeady isn't because he's too wasteful like their goal today showed. He's random, sometimes very good, often awful even when not under a great deal of pressure.

However I would still have him in the team instead of Eto'o, Barkley or Naismith out wide.
That's just dumb. It would be better to switch to a 4-3-3 and use Mirallas as one of the front three than to persist with any formation that requires McGeady on the field. He might have some value as an impact sub, to come on specifically to target a tiring defender; but all the time he's a starter, something's not right.

Who are you dictating to ? I didn't say I didn't like their opinions. I was saying calm down. Not rocket science....for the intelligent.
Why should they calm down they are passionate fans and are not happy
Like i say if you don't like reading it and your intelligent turn on the telly instead

The hysterics don't surprise me ...good job facebook "OMF God" etc wasn't out when we nearly went down. People need to calm down...stick together and stop being internet footie managers and rigging up the noose for RM. We'll get through this...weve been through worse. Well some of us. Calm the f down
Indeed we have been through worse ..... and on each occasion (under Walker and Smith -- I'll excuse Kendall Mk3) we were saved from relegation by changing the manager....

Don't want to be knee jerk, but after that I genuinely can't see where the next win is coming from? Can anyone?

This is the best squad everton have had in my lifetime (born September 87), but the displays are shocking.

What's more concerning is that I didn't expect anything from that today. The last time I expected nothing against a non top-6 team was pre moyes. Under moyes I can never remember expecting nothing at St. James's. Under moyes you would expect nothing against the top 6 away, but not against the rest. I'm not saying we would always get something, but I didn't feel defeated going into the match.

Next we play Hull, who are the definition of crap. But I have absolutely no confidence going into it.

I won't call for Martinez's head. But there is a lot to be concerned about going into the new year.

If the cap doesn't fit don't wear it mate.....not any intention of being patronising. For your info I'm "an older Blue", likely older than you going by your sig, and I've been watching them since the early 70's, and I've seen much much worse than this. You have your view, I have mine.....you think we're in free fall, I don't.

My view is after 35 years of following the club , ive never been so bored and frustrated with the way an everton team play. I also cant remember such a good squad playing so poorly and getting such bad results against teams who really shouldnt be able to live with us.
I also dont remember an everton team in freefall who didnt have even one player with the passion fight and desire to battle to grind out results. We currently dont have a single one.
im worried and this worry is only expanded by a manager who seems happy that all is rosy ,doesnt seem to change anything or feel the need to change anything or state there is any need to change anything.

Proper kopite behaviour but the officiating in the last month has been atrocious.

Today, Cissie should've been off and will get a 3 game ban.

If its just me but I'm sure Barry had to shirt pulled from him when he was picking the ball up before the 2nd goal.

Then there's the Walters red card that wasn't. The penalty that was debatable.

Then City with another debatable penalty.

When does it end?

Totally irrelevant.

We should be battering Stoke and Newcastle, not relying on refs decisions. Like you've pointed too, moaning about decisions not going our way is 'proper kopte behaviour'

That's just dumb. It would be better to switch to a 4-3-3 and use Mirallas as one of the front three than to persist with any formation that requires Mcgeady on the field.
Even in a 4-3-3 you still need wide men that can create chances, track back, go around the outside and link up with the fullback. All of which McGeady can do.

Tell me another player we have who can? Kone, Oviedo, Baines? I don't know but none or those options seems better or fit.

We do need players who want to play for the team and show that defeat hurts them as much as it hurts the supporters. If we had more Besic-types then maybe we wouldn't be in such deep crap that we are in now.

By no means is Besic a fantastic player (yet) but he is not crap either. He gives 100% and you could see in his first interview after he signed for the club saying he would play anywhere the manager wanted him to play because he was the boss and it was a privilege to play for the club at all. Also that reaction he gave towards Mirallas' goal against QPR how much it means to to him. If all the players gave as much as he did then, despite if we lost, the fans wouldn't care and the atmosphere would return to Goodison. But what we have now, on the whole, are not tryers.

I do know that Lukaku is generally a happy guy. However after the final whistle during all these defeats he turns around with a big smile on his face and starts hugging opposition players that he knows. Be happy when you win, show a little more concern when you lose. I'm not saying it doesn't matter to him but it won't help him when the chips are down.

As for transfers, I say it will be another window of 'We are always looking for players to improve the squad but if it doesn't happen then I think our squad is big enough to cope until the rest of the season' mantra that we are used to hearing once it re-opens. Yet before the window opens we are always treated to the 'We have many injuries and we are suffering as a result due to our limited squad size'.

But then again, when a man doesn't chase Dusan Tadic, in favour of getting Atsu on loan, then I don't know if I would be any more flexible with funds! But that's the deal you made Mr. Kenwright, you chose the guy, now you have to give him the funds.

We do need freshening-up as some of the players out there have become too pedestrian and its clear they are not worried about losing their first team place.

I suppose we could blame the officials for the whole season
To be fair that's not what he's saying.....he's clearly saying in the last month or so we have had some undeniably pathetic decisions go against us that have had a big bearing on the result of each match. Yes, we've been well below par, but some of those decisions have been dreadful and that sucks what little confidence the platters have right out of them. Todays none-red card and the one against Stoke were just incomprehensible. Mourhino has just come out and publically raised the issue of poor decisions against them as he knows the refs will react.....perhaps RM needs to do just that. We're way too nice on and off the pitch, and it costs us.

I want us to go for the win when we are leading, not show urgency when we are 1 goal behind and so,its no good all the time showing we want the goal when we are behind,

I think we probably did want to get at them after we scored but it was poor play that did for us rather than a lack of urgency. McCarthy and Baines pushed hard but when possesion was turned over we generally wasted it with poor passing.

then, as the boss said, we kill ourselves with crappy errors.

Barry was a disgrace of a footballer today players bob thinks he can trust are really letting him down but he just keeps picking them to play.
