I am very much enjoying the victory, but Keane was too easily bullied today. Great performance by Carroll though.

Outstanding effort today. Despite a wobbly few minutes we looked in control and always positive. Great management breeds confidence. This is the standard that the players should be held to from now on.

Ive no worries about Kean at all. I think he did really well today and went looking for Carlo for a handshake as he went off. Maybe we’ll tail off at some point but between Dunc, Carlo and the players we look like a different team.

5 changes today as well with a depleted squad speaks volumes.

I thought we were unfortunate. We made mistakes, we made mistakes for the games against Man Utd. To be fair the referee made a mistake today which I didn't expect him to do. They scored from a corner which shouldn't have been a corner. It is by the by. I don't think we deserved to lose. We were caught by a suckerpunch when we were going for the game.
"A fit Andy Carroll is going to be an assett to us. He did his bit today. Good to see.
"Calro Ancelotti is a top, top class manager. For whatever reason they were short of confidence a month ago but they are not now. They have good players all over the pitch.
"We have done OK. It is the first time since August we suffered back to back defeats. We have given ourselves a good platform for the second half of the season. We hope we can stay a little more injury free and let's see what we can do in the second half of the season."

Baby steps... At 19 he's probably one who could do with a season loan in the championship, but obviously that won't happen...dieing to see him score a goal and see what that does for his confidence
