After we lost at home to Newcastle, their first away win of the season, Moyes said we couldn't hope to compete with Newcastle because they were several levels above us. Therefore he must think that was one of his best ever wins. Either that or he was talking cobblers, which was my thoughts at the time.

They're massively underachieving in the league. Wether thats because of Europe i dont know. Dont care either tbh. But i think he had a fair point. That squad is so far more developed and invested in. 5 years of howe and over 600m.
Im finding the whole home thing fascinating now because i certainly think its new stadium syndrome. Moyes had no issue at home after replacing dyche last year. And moyes certainly had no issues in his first spell at Everton. We were a very strong home side under him. Poor away ironically.
Ive got my own views on it but it goes to deep.
Either way it needs addressing and sorting. Im hoping it settles down next season.

Howe isn't great especially considering the investment they've had

I think they had a terrible recruitment last year. Not far off 200m for wissa alanga and woltemade was poor. Posted early on in the season about woltemade. I watched him in the u23 Euros for Germany and i never saw a 70m player.
I think howes ok. But not much more than that.

Great win and we have done well this season overall, credit to moyes for this (home v away form is bizarre) ...so think it's important to post this after this win as opposed to a knee jerk after a loss.....genuine question, we are given money to spend in the summer, do we want moyes spending it or someone new in? Personally I think moyes's conservativeness will prevent us from pushing on, dont think he has it in him, we'll comfortably hover between 10th and maybe 6th each season but will not go further, that utd match did it for me....possibly a bit harsh but if the right manager came about in the summer I'd be in favour of changing...just my opinion

Wissa was very strange business, 50 odd million for someone nothing special and nearing 30 years old

Barcodes fan forum. Praise indeed from one poster:
'...Special mention in magnanimous defeat for one of the greatest saves I've seen in person and it had to to be the obnoxious charva mackem [Poor language removed] that's Jordan Pickford...'

🤣 🤣

Another:
'...That Pickford save at the end is probably the best save I've ever seen live...'

And more grudging respect:
'...Pickford’s a bit of a [...] but I’d welcome him here...'
Here is another off that forum
