Never a right winger so why start him there! in fact why was Victor dropped did ok v Chelski?????

Exactly what I thought, he was chasing balls down all over the show against them plastics.

Perhaps it was to do with the size of Newcastle's pitch, and how they pass the ball around at the back side to side, he'd be shagged in half hour.

Nonetheless, he is playing really well atm, should start him against cheltenham.

Newcastle striker Demba Ba has agreed to join Chelsea on a three-and-a-half-year contract, Sky sources understand.

Lucky Newcastle. They don't need Demba Ba at all, at this moment.

Naismith was poor, Heitinga was turd, less said about Nev at CM the better. Howard never seems to leave his line and that almost cost us, but despite that Baines, Distin, Jelavic, Pienaar, Fellaini and Anichebe all put in very good shifts. Jelavic's assist was a joy to watch.

I am no fan of Neville at CM or anywhere else (except the bench, or even better in the stands), but I thought he did ok last night tbh. In other words, he wasn't great but equally he wasn't as gash as he normally is. At the moment we are almost down to picking anyone who can run (hello Naismith).

Still in a right good mood from this result last night. I thought beforehand if we lost then it would show up the fact we weren't serious top 4 contenders, so I have to say on the other hand, we proved yet again the resolve we have. Although we still have clear problems defensively, the fact we can go to a ground, give 50,000+ fans the perfect start after barely over a minute yet know we still thought we could get at least a draw, if not a win, is a brilliant skill to have. And so it proved. Just like West Ham, we weathered pressure, composed ourselves, and set about getting back into the game which we did, thanks in no small part to some composure on the ball from the likes of Osman, Pienaar etc.

With the cup coming up next, it might be a chance for a few players to have a mini-break before the next league game. I'd try to hold back Baines, Osman, Pienaar and Jelavic (bench perhaps). I'm not saying change everyone because not only would that be foolish, we don't really have the squad to go and make 11 changes. I'd without doubt start Barkley, and give the likes of Oviedo and Gueye a chance to impress. Give Anichebe the chance to continue some momentum; I'd start Fellaini mind considering he's had 3 games off recently. Maybe give Kennedy a run-out?

After losing last night, hope you enjoy your new calenders NOOOOOOCASSSSSSSSALLLL!
