Tricky one this. It's a difficult choice to make. There's a lot to be said for redeveloping Goodison Park and some good arguments have been made here in support of that notion. I'd welcome it too because it would mean we keep that heritage and a traditional stadium etc. But something tells me Moshiri will look to fund a new stadium. I assume he was involved in Arsenal's move to The Emirates. If so, I can't see a move away from Goodison phasing him at all. Question is - Where to?

Let's be honest here, what max capacity could we fill week in, week out?
I'm not convinced it would be much more than we have currently, so let's give Goodison a like of paint and use the funds on the playing squad.

No he wasn't involved in arsenal until after they finished the Emirates when he/Usmanov bought David deins shares in 2007. He will have seen the benefit of a new stadium and better commercial operation though

Good question really. I think with a good run of form, a fair pricing structure for ticket and unobstructed views we could aim for 45 to 50k.

Just look after the first season under Martinez, we sold over a phenomenal thirty-thousand season tickets. That left than ten thousand for others.

If we kept our star players, added more important names and began to challenge more often then I'm sure we could sustain or better than figure.

Sell another fifteen thousand seats to member or general sale? Again, I think this is possible as long as it's a fair price and we're doing the above.

It may not be automatically near the fifty thousand mark, however over a few season I think it is a more than realistic aim.

Well we have been selling out consistently most games despite having thousands of obstructed views. I think 55k wouldn't be too hard to fill if we offered reasonably priced tickets.

It is like the Field of Dreams.

Build a new stadium and they will come.

We must now let ambition fire our minds.

Rather we play in a packed goodison than a half full shiny new stadium myself but thats probably just me being an arl fart

Would people accept 'The Chang Stadium' for £200m every 7 years?
I understand your point is specially regarding to stadium naming rights, but I'm confident that Chang will definitely not be an option soon.

It's a far from spectacular relationship we have them, so I would hope our new owner and his party will be looking to make this more fruitful.

Yes I think 50k sounds a realistic goal, so does it make sense spending hundreds of millions on a new stadium or try and raise the capacity at Goodison which you would think would be cheaper?
I personally would not want to leave as history and tradition means a lot to me.
