We can afford it now. A quality Manager is worth more than a Niasse fee right?I wonder how much he was earning at Chelsea compared to what we were paying Martinez
I think exactly the same.Want jose but think we will get Franky, dont want Koeman at all
Rumoured to have been 8m before he signed a new contract, then anything between 10-15m, depending on sources.
Martinez was on 3m.
Why are people saying Mourinho is unrealistic?... As unrealistic as Leicester winning the premiership?, or Rafael Benitez starting the season managing Real Madrid and ending it getting relegated as the manager of Newcastle?... anythang c'yan 'appen wi' th'scratch we packin'
Good player in his day and a great track record of bringing through the youth players at Liverpool, but I wouldn't want that Kopite anywhere near my club thank you very much. Can't actually believe you've even brought him into the equation if I'm honest mate.As the old saying goes, 'It's José or the highway'.
Based on what we know, I'd word it "not as good as Koeman" rather than worse. He may well turn out to be a far superior Premier League manager than Koeman, but it would just be ( educated ) guesswork to say so.
Koeman's made mistakes outside his home country and seems to have learnt from them. So far, De Boer is untested in management outside Holland. If he has mistakes to make in a bigger league, do we want him learning on the job here ?
I'd like some of that.
