My only concern with de Boer - considering the Eredivisie is hard to gauge - is that Ajax have been relatively poor in Europe during his tenure.

Still, our most credible source of information on this forum suggests he's out of the running.

Lets wait and see. His European record is ok, I think he qualified out of his Europa League group this season and has had some impressive results in the champions league like beating City & Dortmund. His European record is not great, certainly not a patch on what Cocu has done this season but probably not as disastrous as people make out.

Yes, that is what I am trying too say. And that is my concern over all.
I think he is not yet up too the task.

I also have a soft spot for Ajax, as it has developed many a Danish youth player, over the years. Fantastic club, and have always been ahead of it's time.

We will never know whether he is up to the task or not. I don't think he could have done much more to prove he is up to the task though. It's just my view, but I think bringing the methods of Ajax to Everton would be massive. I also think he would be our Pochetino.

De Boer is the only realistic target from the list and I wouldn't touch him with a barge-pole, I really wouldn't.

Why not mate? I know very little about footy outside of the prem.

(but I do agree Jose is highly unlikely to end up here)

Mourinho needs to be removed from poll. Redshite esque linking ourselves to managers we have no chance of getting.

Hate to be 'that' guy but surely I'm not the only one who thinks he's staying? There's been no reliable outlet e.g telegraph, times, guardian even mention he's under pressure or the board is loosing faith. Just a few clickbait articles in the star etc. I'm not convinced his superiors will sack him at all and itks on reddit and this forum don't bring any sort of faith.

Fully expect him to be our manager next season. Kenwright still has a say and backed moyes in his second year I can see him telling mosh stability is key etc.

Not implying anything here mate, but why is every single one of your posts about one of the following 4 topics

1. Wayne Rooney
2. Jose Mourinho
3. Everton players - Lukaku etc Moving to Man United
4. Man United

IF you are a Man United fan - then why the pretense mate?

Very true, the Ajax approach is second too perhaps only Barcalona.
You could win me over, with that very argument.

Thank you

He's the manager of the most successful and richest club in the Eredivisie but hasn't won it in the last couple of seasons. Imagine Ronny Deila doing the same at Celtic.

You're not wrong mate, it is not a great league. They have no money and lose their best players. We may face a similar dilemma this summer. I have a soft spot for Ajax too as my inlaws are Jewish and have always been impressed with De Boer from afar.

There is a mentality of Ajax that would fit well at Everton and I see similarities between both clubs.

mourinho.. who got a great chelsea team to be at the bottom half of the table and only manages clubs who always are near the top of the table.
Doesn't seem like a manager who can build a team almost from scratch and get them to fight among the top.

I voted Mourinho because if we got him in it clearly means we have a tonne of money AND he would be able to attract some top quality talent. I would be very satisfied with the more likely De Boer though, I also think he could be our Pochetino. Pelligrini could also attract some top players and in truth I'd be a bit disappointed with Koeman, the same way I was a bit disappointed when Roberto came in as he was not as exciting as other candidates.

The dutch league is not dominated by one great team, like in Scotland or france.

The dutch league is dominated by PSV and Ajax, and have been for decades.
