A tinpot sponsor for a side supposedly looking to challenge Top4!
Yokohama
AIA
Standard Chartered
Emirates
Etihad
Chevrolet
Sportpesa!
AIA and Standard Chartered - who had actually heard of them before they sponsored Spuds/RS?
Yokohama are a budget tyre company who are making a bid for the premium market so forked out to sponsor a team with maximum exposure.
Same with Chevrolet (aimed at the US market rather than the rebadged Korean cars they sell over here) - ManUre will give them that exposure.
Etihad - pretty obvious why
Emirates - back when Arsenal were winning things
Everton? We don't have the global appeal that others in the top 6 do have. Sponsorship is made on a global level now so teams with the most global exposure will attract the biggest sponsors. We aren't there yet - we're at the beginning of the journey. We can't force major global blue chip companies to sponsor us as they want something in return - exposure to the maximum number of consumers and for the team to be winning things. I really don't see the issue with SportPesa.

Finally someone with sense.
I'm concerned over the length of the deal, why 5 years?! But £9m a year is vastly improved, but in 4 years, will that be gazumped? I hope we've inserted a break in contract. But we're building slowly, and doubling our money including USM is a huge stride in the right direction.
Wrong. Umbro Diamonds are ok.Either way it looks like the shirts having crappy umbro diamonds down the sleeves, absolute AIDS.
Think the consultation was for the season after but I might be wrong?Just fingers crossed that leaked image isn't the kit. 'Consulted with fans' my arse if it is.

...this is the same fan group who ok'd a racial slur for the naming of the end of season club awards. I can well believe they consulted them.Just fingers crossed that leaked image isn't the kit. 'Consulted with fans' my arse if it is.
The term Dixie derived from his nickname "Diggsy" given to him as a child when he played tic. The name was picked up wrong when he first started playing and Dixie stuck. Either that or everyone of us that has said WRDs name is a racist, you decide....this is the same fan group who ok'd a racial slur for the naming of the end of season club awards. He himself disliked it as he knew it referred to his swarthy appearance. Even if there's some debate to be had about its origins as it pertains to Dean it shouldn't have been used. The term Dixie derived from his nickname "Diggsy" given to him as a child when he played tic. WTF would have been wrong with 'The WR Dean Awards"?
No decorum whatsoever, and it calls into question the judgement of the handpicked members of the Fan Forum.
