Yokohama are a budget tyre company who are making a bid for the premium market so forked out to sponsor a team with maximum exposure.
Same with Chevrolet (aimed at the US market rather than the rebadged Korean cars they sell over here) - ManUre will give them that exposure.

Etihad - pretty obvious why

Emirates - back when Arsenal were winning things

Everton? We don't have the global appeal that others in the top 6 do have. Sponsorship is made on a global level now so teams with the most global exposure will attract the biggest sponsors. We aren't there yet - we're at the beginning of the journey. We can't force major global blue chip companies to sponsor us as they want something in return - exposure to the maximum number of consumers and for the team to be winning things. I really don't see the issue with SportPesa.

What he /\/\ said. Most of those sponsors are majorly gash. The only issue is the comparative financial value of the deal. As if anyone would prefer Standard Chartered on our shirts. Bet the Liverpool fans were celebrating that when it got announced! :o

For comparison, Tottenham's current deal is 5 years @ ~16m, started in 2014 when they were regularly finishing top 4/5 and in Europe.
 
Just hope it's different and not a template of a kit shared by other teams sponsored by umbro but in different colours.

Either way I will be spending £100 like a gorp on 2 shirts for my daughters next month!

...this is the same fan group who ok'd a racial slur for the naming of the end of season club awards. I can well believe they consulted them.

The term Dixie derived from his nickname "Diggsy" given to him as a child when he played tic. The name was picked up wrong when he first started playing and Dixie stuck. Either that or everyone of us that has said WRDs name is a racist, you decide.

He himself disliked it as he knew it referred to his swarthy appearance. Even if there's some debate to be had about its origins as it pertains to Dean it shouldn't have been used.

WTF would have been wrong with 'The WR Dean Awards"?
