a lot of my meals so revolve around veg as it mate or at least i try to do that. The subway salads thing is not through choice, been making sure i get my lunches in at the weekend to get around this. But generally subway salads lost me 4 pounds the week before so they can't be too evil? lol Myfitnesspal app on my phone told me a tuna salad was high in fat though which suprised me greatly so yeah, not going to make them a choice unless it is bread or just salad.

In terms of insanity, i didn't get a check up before hand no. admittedly it is hard for me right now, probably more than normal. but generally i do a advanced Tae bo workout at least once a week which is around 50 or more minutes, plus any DDP yoga i can fit in so that is the range i am currently following. could be going for a job once a week as well soon potentially, not that i want to haha.

but yeah, i'll check those stuff out mate. always interested in suggestions. Right now my meals i try to make healthy, and if i cant do that i only eat half a plateful instead. so far this has been working for me because it changes my concious away from unhealthy meals to healther ones by default. My shopping lists are with healthy food in mind so yeah, it is working to change the mind set.

but for the exercise, what draws me to the tae bo and ddp yoga is that it feels more masculine. I don't feel as silly as say doing a women orientated program, and the insanity i wouldn't do in the house, but 30 minutes on a friday night is just something i can commit to and i know it will have some good to me
1. It absolutely is through choice.

2. It's not just about the healthiness, you're trying to save for a wedding but you're happy to spunk £££s on subway salads? It's madness.

5'6''

so the nhs reckon i should be like 8-9 stone

You need to be the weight that you're comfortable with.

The danger for you, is that you'll put all your focus on the wedding date in December and then blow out afterwards when the goal has passed.

If you maintain what you're doing you'll continue to lose weight and be far more healthy.

1, it wasn't as i explained at the time i didn't have chance to buy the salads in. but conciously made sure i went shopping in asda past 2 weeks to make sure i get the salad bags in.

2. Cost isn't really coming into it to be honest. My dinner today cost more than a subway tuna salad. Tomorrow, about 30p cheaper, so it is not a case of cheaper meals, just healthier.

please can you upload a picture of the current contents of your fridge and cupboards?

many thanks

Yoghurts and salad bags at the minute mate. main filling of the fridge!

LUNCH! IT'S LUNCH!

Dinner is

a. What kids have at school
b. What you go out for with the wife.

What's the saying - Its about making lifestyle changes, not quick fixes.

No Ash, it's the Porridge. It fills you up properly and is a slow release food, so it takes ages to digest.

It's good for lowering cholesterol too, plus keeps you regular.

When I was a student, we lived on porridge and unrefined brown sugar, as it wa sh1t cheap, filled you up all day and healthy.

It's a king of foods mate.

You should add spelled flakes (?; am not sure that's the English word for it: http://static.webshopapp.com/shops/...0x600x2/bountiful-bountiful-spelt-vlokken.jpg this). They are lovely also and very good for you. Spelt also makes excellent bread and flower. Goji berries are also boss in porridge.

will be psychlogical mate. i know how fat i got to, i wont want to go back there, so any extra pounds and tighter tops i will be more concious in the future. the original goal was novembe, but i want to be able to eat and live normally, just be able to counter balance it all by picking up salads and being more active at the same time.

old habit, always called it dinner and tea.

to put it into perspective, do you think after 4 months of drinking water, i will go back to drinking anyhting unhealthy? Even cordial is a guilty treat right now!

Things like that has changed massively, all the shopping is gearing towards good low calorie meals combined with veg. That again won't change, these are things that will stick with me going forward, not as extreme with the diet i'm on now but still, i know what i have to eat and what not to eat. So coke, or a kebab, or a bar of chocolate will represent what i know is wrong, and in my head i am already associating them with that, i couldn't eat a kebab anymore without it having a negative effect on me mentally.

I was more thinking rasberries and blueberries in it. Used to get blueberries and they worked a treat, made it nice. probably just stick with them once i start getting them in again.

An important factor is a supporting environment. Does partner support you in your endeavour? If not maybe you could ask her to chip in a bit. Easy things like not making your favourite ultra fatting food when you're struggling or such. Or is she a feeder ?; a friend of mine his girlfriend keeps him fat because she's afraid he'll leave her if he actually slims down for someone more interesting.

I sort of rolled in to the healthy lifestyle experience. Gf at the time was a ballerina and very obsessed with food and such. So I though maybe I can join her to lighten her load a bit. Eventually I didn't want to reverse to my previous lifestyle since I felt much better. It's not like I had weight issues or such; it just feels much better.

haha she isn't a feeder or anything, she supports me and is eating what i'm eating in the house mostly so she will be getting some benefit herself as well.

she knows i'm just losing weight for me, consdering what triggered me off into wanting to. `so yeah, she doesn't force me to eat anything and certainly maintains the same foods in the house so she isn't cooking me chips when she knows i'd prefer a bag of veg.
