New Healthy Start

Oh yeah side note again. I'm lighter than I thought it seems.

Was 16.2 lost 4 pounds but apparently 15.8 now?!
Bet it feels good to be fifteen-stone-something than sixteen-stone-something - good for you mate. Rather than the odd 'bad' snack or meal in a rush, could you stock up on healthier stuff for those occasions, knowing they're likely to crop up from time to time?

The shock news kinda made me more determined I have to say. As I'm skint there is no chance of a bad meal this week until the weekend which at that point I'd have had 5 salads and healthier meals in the night.

All I want to do now as I put above is sticking as much as I can to generally eating better and being active when I can. I hit 4 pounds this week but come next week I won't expect the same, just be pleasantly surprised if I do.

But yeah, felt so good to know I had dropped below 16, means it's working. Perhaps for the time being only have 2 workouts a week to minimalise any muscle gain over fat burning to keep getting positive readings? By the time the muscle building is important it will be more noticeable then?

Plus hit 4 pounds again over 2 weeks and means 3 stone over 2 months effectively.

FFS

filled my lunch box up last night of lettuce with bits of carrot and that in it with a tin of kippers.

Come to eat it and the lettuce has shrunk! so only half a dinner today. One way to reduce calories then eh?

So yeah, new week, haven't had chance to do any workouts but the better eating so far;

monday

3 fruit
whole crunchy salad bag with tin of mackrel.
tea was half a fish and a oven cooked fish cake with a blob of fresh mash and a portion of steam veg.

Tuesday

3 fruit
half a salad bag (mainly lettuce) with a tin of kippers
Muller light yoghurt
Tea was a alternate. Went chippy and got chippy chips for everyone, but i had 3 small pieces of toast with a tin of spaghetti for tea.

Wednesday

3 fruit today
half a bag of salad (same bag) and a tin of sardines.
Muller light yoghurt

tea will be half a plate of spag bol with either veg or broccoli in it.

So yeah, i think this week my healthier eating is getting better again. If i can lose 4 pounds with having the odd off thing, looking likely that this week i could go 5 out of the 7 days eating minimally but healthy at the same time. Could be on track for another 4 pounds off, or hopefully more!

Bit of an update on this week.

Wednesday tea was one oven cooked (crap) chicken and veg pie with a bag of veg.

Yesterday was off salad bag with sardines. Tea was a plateful of spag bol (normal amount, not diet amount).

Today dinner will probably be a subway salad of tuna and no dressing (as salad bag in house was off) and tea will probably be something snacky i would imagine, like half a make your own pizza or an oven cooked one.

Got insanity tonight, only exercise of the week but want to make it a routine rather than a option (because i know what option i would pick if it was haha).

Scales at home dropped me under 16 stone which is great because they read over 16 when i was weighed in at 15'8 so hopefully dropped a few pounds already. I can imagine the weekend isnt going to be too active but i will try to get out both days and do something.

When you get to a reasonable fitness level get yourself a decent bike.

Did it myself a few months ago and loving it. It's great for getting out the house and away from demanding kids, plus the fresh air and cardiovascular workout is great. You'll get to see the surrounding countryside too. I try to do 20 miles a week including some decent hill climbs.
