New Healthy Start

Had a burger from the take away tonight. Met the family down the pier hrad after work and walked around in the nice weather so by the time we got in it was far too late to cook. Well not for us anyway, threw something in for the kids.

No chips though so even though it's bad calories and I feel bad for eating it to a small extent, overall I haven't loaded up on food today which is a silver lining. Plus I was active for a good while today and even went for a walk in work to wake myself up so not the end of the world.

Starting tomorrow it's knuckle down and no set backs
When Ash slips, he slips hard.

Lettuce or kebab shop burgers. No half measures!

I know. But I still ate small.

There will be a point where I'll look back at this and be amazed I still ate like this.

Got the determination back though after I've probably waned a little bit these couple of days. Sister video called me today and thought I'd lost weight so starting tomorrow it's the start of the 3 month grind . I can do it , just need to really get my head down now.

3 months I want to be able to do the advanced yoga stuff, have muscles again and be 5 stone lighter. Could well have pseudo lost more weight than I think anyway so time to make the scales tell me that as well.

Any decent personal training plan will tell you to measure your vital measurements - upper arms, neckline, upper legs and waistline to chart your weight loss, rather than relying on the scales.

Measure every 3 months with a tape measure and chart the reduction.
If you want to be really technical you can get callipers and measure the fat at each point and chart that reduction too.

Best of luck to anyone trying to lose weight.

The hardest part, I think, is seeing it as a long term goal rather than a short one, which you must. Like, when you slip up and have a burger, be confident that you'll just get back on it and start eating well and exercising again straight away. Over the course of months, it'll work.

I am. It's the feeling of making the step back and then the amount of work I then need to put in afterwards. I know I'm the grand scheme of things I haven't made the deep back but then it's the mental knock back. Didn't have to eat the burger so I'm not being a drama queen of anything lol but come tomorrow I know that's it now, get on with it and make some sort of visual change more apparent. I have a 3 month target like I mentioned to drop weight so it's striving to hit that now it's all official.

Give it three months and I'll have before and after pictures on here haha just nice to have this thread to post in if nothing else because I can be honest and be called a tit rather than be reassured about it, if you get what I mean

Thats exactly it, that mental knock back. Get over that and you'll do it. We all love a good burger, unhealthy food here and there, and it's healthy to just admit that occasionally, we will eat them. It's near enough impossible to expel all bad food from your diet forever like those weird American guys selling juicing machines. Just cut down, do exercise and you'll win.

Today update.

Too tired to wake up for yoga, so had an extra half hour in bed.

dinner today is a little salad box i got from the takeaway last night to replace my chips but didn't end up eating. Stuck some sweet chilli sauce in it today and just added a boiled egg to it from the shop. actually having dessert after it as well, a muller light yoghurt, only 70 cals so sticking to the healthy plan.

I don't think I knew you could buy already boiled eggs from a shop.

right, daily update.

bit here and there today as im working evening hours due to a prior engagement this morning.

anyway.

done a tae bo workout last night, food today been 3 fruit, got a asda salad pot for my dinner (which is now half 3-4 today) and then when i get in like half 8 a little plate of chicken curry, half portion of rice and dollop of curry. So calories today should be quite low and i'll do another workout tonight to burn what i can off from today so back in the rythym of it so to speak.

you need to eat something with protein or fats along with the fruit, or the sugar spike will cause further hunger pangs, from the raised blood insulin level

a handful of mixed nuts would do the trick
Don't like nuts mate to be honest.

Any other alternatives? Must admit i do get hungry but normally around dinner time so it isn't as bad. today just a massive shift because i have basically ate the same but i am like 4 hours off meal times.
