Weekday update. Managed to get myself up at 6 and do a yoga session before getting ready for work. Now drinking water and eating fruit in work.

Side note, think my face has had a allergic reaction to the toothpaste i have been using and now look like a leper which is what you want on your first day back......
Nothing to do with your toothpaste. It's your body reacting to the increase in fruit and veg. An old housemate did some daft fruit only detox and came out in the most appalling acne within days.

I have been slowly doing that yeah. It is a slow process but making more meals from fresh rather than packaged. Every now and again i will just use a jar for curry but certainly making fresher meals until the point where i cook everyhting from scratch. My shopping from 2 weeks ago to now has greatly improved already lol

I will give them a read later mate cheers, happy to educate myself on the subject :)

Cooking will make you burn calories too.

It threw back at me it won't generate anything as i didn't eat enough

only like 400 calories short, 300 if you don;t count the 111 it gave me for the yoga.

I thought yesterday was mainly everything but carbs? Fish, fruit, veg mainly. Salad was bulk of dinner, mash for tea was a small amount, fish protein and fruit is fruit.

did you use this? you dont put anything in about eating? http://www.iifym.com/iifym-calculator/

Don't enter custom calories. just put everything else in and click display my macros.

for example, a 5 foot 7 male who weighs 12st11, who has a desk job and works out 3-4 days a week for 45 mins, should eat to maintain weight and appearance 2050 cals, and to lose weight at a rate of 2lbs a week eat 1671 cals. Once you start breaking that down into, Fats, Carbs and Protein, you'll realise that you are probably eating wrong - i know i did. I was shocked i was over eating on carbs and not enough fat or protein.

Anything under that cals, could potentially mean metabolic slow down, and potentially the body storing the fat instead of burning it.

What fruit? have you put that in MFP? fruit will go towards carb load, as will the quiche, sausage roll, mash, weird bun thing.

I did sign up for that site but couldn't figure out how to use it lol I get emails daily from it though. May have another look at it later then.

These macros, do they factor in any other exercise you get? I means sunday was walking round for like 4 hours in town, that is technically exercise but it wasn't strenuous. So where does that come under?

Well just put it in what you work out at through the week - I dont count things like steps and walking around, as i probably 100% don't accurately track calories, myfitnesspal does try to balance out cals allowed by using the stepometre from the phone.

If you just do it as, you work out X days a week, and if you have a desk job put that. Anything extra you do, like walking, is added extra and burning more off.

The macros is the important thing though and what nutrients your putting into your body - too much excess of one will have a negative effect, I would guess most people have a pretty heavy carb diet and dont realise, i know i did - until you look at the nutrition all the exercise is doing is fighting against what your eating - if you get your nutrition right (IE no process foods and eating the right nutrients) and work out you will see a massive difference in not just your body, but your general health.

cheers. I'll have another gander later at it. Perhaps can figure it out second time round lol

Sunday update. Scales saying I haven't lost any weight. So much for that half a stone by tomorrow lol

Food wide yesterday was a few fruit, smallish jacket with half a tin of heinz spaghetti and a derylie dunker (no idea on spelling haha) and tea was a Malaysian chicken curry with half a bag of micro rice. No evening workout but yoga in the morning.

Scales tell me haven't lost a pound again sadly. Starting to think this isn't working this healthy eating and exercise malarkey. I'll persevere though for now, need the 4 week mark to be sure. Missus reckons I have visually changed slightly but scales says otherwise.

Today I will probably have a subway salad after 2 fruit today so far. Tea could be a chicken Kiev with veg . Make sure I do a workout as well tonight.

Just weigh yourself once per week rather than everyday as well.

its the tempatation of it though, just in case its gone down by one pound lol

BTW, still not changed :p

Side note, i'm finding my legs are now stiffening up more now i'm sat behind a computer all day. Just had to go for a 10 minute walk round just to ease my legs back up again.

You mighty fluctuate over the week though depending on time of the day, how much you've had to eat/drink, what exercise you've done etc. You'll get a better indication of you do it on the same day each week and record it.

I haven't weighed myself in over a year

I know when I'm losing or gaining weight from the trousers hanging off me or tops fitting more snugly.

You could actually be losing weight, but gaining muscle mass. That is the ideal goal.

That may be it. Can feel it in my arms and for everything I do there must be muscle in my legs building.

The only thing that gets me is that I'm still probably 5 stone from thst being a good thing lol

Update: Pie, two jacket spuds and some beans for tea.

Might have some malted milk with my hot chocolate.

I check my health by how fat my arse is getting. After being unable to go running, it's somewhere between Beyonce and Mrs Doubtfire.

Had a burger from the take away tonight. Met the family down the pier hrad after work and walked around in the nice weather so by the time we got in it was far too late to cook. Well not for us anyway, threw something in for the kids.

No chips though so even though it's bad calories and I feel bad for eating it to a small extent, overall I haven't loaded up on food today which is a silver lining. Plus I was active for a good while today and even went for a walk in work to wake myself up so not the end of the world.

Starting tomorrow it's knuckle down and no set backs
