'More reporting, more food for me!'

I'm still intrigued as to why that time he said GOT was 'vital to his livelihood'.

Because he's mental I think mate

Has he met the Spurs fella in the market ?

If so, did he try to eat him or was he happy eating his cardboard boxes ?

I packed him back off to HK as he was getting on my tits if I'm honest, I think he now just eats polluted fish

Just as a side note, probably don't order fried egg again with your salad.

I know. Sadly I couldn't give them the choice, but the thought was right surely? Lol

Fresh fish and veg tonight for tea, cod in butter sauce with mix veg and either a bit of mash or carrot and swede mash followed by another workout.

Set myself half a stone by Monday morning. If I can do that then I know all this is working. Means I go back to work knowing I'm losing weight.

Oh and side note, my arms are stronger now. Carrying an asda bag full of fruit, including potatoes a melon and other stuff, felt a difference there with the weight of it.

Quick question.

Although you have told me about the balanced diet and calories etc. I keep reading on fitness stuff that I need to be burning more calories than I intake to lose weight.

Has that got any realm of truth? I'm seeing it in legitimate places but that would be a hell of a lot of excercise and very little food for me to achieve that.

I noticed I didn't really drop any weight today which was kind of disappointing as I thought I did well yesterday. Would following the above advice be dangerous?

It's not just in the realm of truth, it's the main truth. Weight loss is based around eating less then exercising. Exercise is good and all but if you want to shift the podge, eat less than you burn. It's as simple as that

Just eat healthily, exercise routinely and you will be fine. I pretty much do the 5/2 diet and it works a treat, haven't put weight on in ages.

It wasn't too long ago in this thread that I was being warned off not eating enough! I'm confused now lol

I was eating roughly 800 calories and doing at least one workout a day which roughly was burning probably around 400 Plus walking and being active etc so I was trying to counter balance what I was eating until I was warned not to do that.

So yeah, tad bit confused now. Should I be eating very minimal and working out to shed the weight? I mean I haven't eaten yet today so cut it down to fruit small lunch and small tea every day? Already cut sugar out, avoiding bread pasta, potato, no fizzy drinks, 5 a day , more water , workout 1 to 2 times a day , trying to add more protein into my diet.

Not too sure how much more I can do on this front, cut a lot out and exercising every day. Surely I can't do more?

I'm no expert but I think eating around 2000 with some exercise and you will be fine. I think if you eat that little your body goes into starvation mode or something and the fat stays (for warmth). I'm not expert though...

For me, one of the most important things is to make all your meals from scratch. I pretty much make all my meals from scratch (apart from the odd pizza), pasta sauces, chips (make them yourself and they are nowhere near as bad for you), spice mixes etc. You know what exactly goes in them and they are not processed. It's also a good idea to get a lot of dried spices/herbs - they can add a lot of flavour with min to no fat.

It's also worth buying decent (not cheap) fruit and veg, you will enjoy it more.

You should still be wary of not eating enough. You should eat on the lower end of your recommended intake. So, if to maintain you weight you would need to eat 3000 calories a day, you should be aiming at most to cut 500-1000 calories out. 800 is way, way too low. Especially if you're working out too. You can get a rough estimate online of your BMI, and what you would need to do to keep the weight, and you should be looking at taking in 500-1000 calories fewer than that.
You should also look at muscle building exercise, as this will help keep weight off (muscles use more calories than fat).

There will be times that it seems that the weight isn't shifting, and maybe even being put on, but that's just natural fluctuations in your body. I promise, if you stick at 500-1000 calorie deficit then the weight will come off and, more importantly, it will stay off. 800 calories is not something that is maintainable and it will cause you more harm in the long run.

Also note, if you are very overweight, you can probably afford to drop more than the 500-1000 but be careful.

Sunday update. Scales saying I haven't lost any weight. So much for that half a stone by tomorrow lol

Food wide yesterday was a few fruit, smallish jacket with half a tin of heinz spaghetti and a derylie dunker (no idea on spelling haha) and tea was a Malaysian chicken curry with half a bag of micro rice. No evening workout but yoga in the morning.

Scales tell me haven't lost a pound again sadly. Starting to think this isn't working this healthy eating and exercise malarkey. I'll persevere though for now, need the 4 week mark to be sure. Missus reckons I have visually changed slightly but scales says otherwise.

Today I will probably have a subway salad after 2 fruit today so far. Tea could be a chicken Kiev with veg . Make sure I do a workout as well tonight.

Ffs Ash, it's not all about losing weight. Sounds like you're leading a much healthier life right now, to hell with the scales, just be happy with being healthier.

Oh god this is like a beacon to the protein biffs

I know it is a long process yeah. I didn't start this for a quick fix, certainly making some positive changes over 2 weeks so far and I'm keeping at it. Even doing yoga this morning after weighing myself is just me keeping at it.

Even the little things like no chocolate, no sugar drinks, in fact even stop buying pop altogether. No crisps, veg with every meal, smaller meals etc. My diet has massively changed and I'm sticking to it.

From tomorrow my plan is to wake up at 6am now on rather than half 6 and do a 25 minute yoga session each day. Get thst done early as I'm showering anyway before work and workout of a night time and if I can maintain that for a week then I know I will keep doing it.

As I said the other day I'm seeing a difference in my muscles already from doing these exercises. 3 months down the line I could well have some good strength in my arms and legs even if I am still fat lol if my stamina improves enough then I may eventually go jogging, but for the time being I'm concentrating on what I'm doing now. Ffs I skipped ahead on ddp yoga and seen the crow move. Basically balancing on your hands with your legs in the air. If I get to thst point then fantastic!
