New Healthy Start

To try and fuel my body a little I had a bit of a side track today.

6 inch butty from subway for dinner as I'd only eaten a peach all day and burger and fries from takeaway. So calorie wise I've probably ate a few but considering the 55 minute tae bo workout and walking round most of the afternoon today I didn't want to completely counter act my calories and end up with minimal intake today.

How much damage have I done? Probably burned 500 plus today anyway I'd imagine

Haha I had to add calories mate as I was burning them low.

Granted the burger wasn't a great choice but if it adds something in my stomach that I can burn off over the next couple days then it's done it's job.

Until the subway all I ate was a peach, from 8am to half 2 ish . Not on purpose like, just didn't get round to eating. And after burning a fair few off in the morning and walking round all day, had to do something.
 
People always over estimate the amount of calories burned with exercise
Full tae bo session mate is an hour of constant exercise and 5 hours of being on my feet moving about as well is generous at 500! Lol

Normally I under estimate and go for the lower numbers in my head

People go to gym and swan about for over an hour... oh that must be 500 cals burned. Let's reward myself a chocolate mocha latte with a pastry

Aye I think that can be a huge danger in it. The way I look at the exercise is not as a burning technique but as something I should be doing. Yes ultimately I want to lose weight at the same time but I don't eat to burn it off. Any calories I burn off is a bonus because I'm trying to make what I eat healthy to begin with.

Think that is the proper approach to it, to be healthy. No point in consciously exercising, otherwise what's the point on doing it?
 
A calorie is not just a calorie. If you want to make real health changes the type of food matters just as much as the calorie counting.

If you were to eat 2600 calories of fast food you would lose weight more slowly and feel worse than if you ate 2600 calories of healthy food.
 
Little update as haven't done one in a few days.

Done another tae bo session last night. So keeping up with that and it's not as hard as the first one so great. Noticed after Wednesday I added a couple of pounds after the burger which is unsurprising so yesterday had porridge pot with loads of blueberries, and my tea of fish with carrot and swede and bag of veg. Didn't finish it all either as I was drinking water at the time.

Probably out walking today and will do a session of yoga tonight I would imagine as not sure if I have time for tae bo again. Hopefully over the next 3 days I can keep dropping g pounds to the half stone do I know I'm making progress. Need to keep under the whole stone now I dipped back into it.

If I get down to the half by Monday morning I will be made up. Just need to carefully watch what I eat, going shopping today so @COYBL25 will look at picking some quorn up and I think now over the next few days I need to keep at it and maximise how much weight I drop so when I'm back at work I know there has been some good work done, even if it's only half a stone
