Its good for meal tracking mate so you know how much cals and that your having each day - good tracking for that, but in terms of following what they recommend i would stay clear like you say!
Yeah if that app was accurate I would lose 2 1/2 stone in 5 weeks. As it stands I've lost 10lb in 3 weeks so it's JUST A BIT out lol

Day 4 update. Didn't do any exercise in the night time. Missus didn't want to watch me excercising, but then didn't do anything but sit on her phone so bit miffed at that.

Food intake for the day was positive though, 3 Fruit for breakfast, subway BMT salad box with chilli sauce for dinner and microwave fish pie with a bag of veg for tea so not a big tea. No other food intake and only water and green tea as drinks.

Bag of veg mate?

Green tea is grim too isn't it mate? But good apparently!

Steam veg. Micorwave it for 3 minutes and its a portion of your 5 a day. Easy to get it down me anyway lol

Yeah green tea isn't that great but i was drinking like 4 or 5 coffee a day in work so cutting that down to one in the morning when i wake up and water/green tea for the rest of the day. Just means more water down me which is the aim.

I'd go for fresh veg myself mate. Never too convinced by packaged stuff.

I know they probably aren't as good no, plan to do the fresh thing in the future. Just getting going it's simple enough to throw one on my plate every night rather than go without.

Been avoiding stuff like oven chips as well, only rice the other night with the first two.

Over time i will build into proper cooking from scratch and all fresh stuff, but main aim is to shock the system into eating better now. No choc or crisps all week either, and only dessert i have in the house is natural yoghurt which i bought blueberrys to throw into a little bowl of it, but havent even done that yet lol

You don't need to exercise every day.

I know but i feel like i need to. The more the better to reduce my overall calories for the day. thought i was wasting my time last night not getting up and doing something, although i spent a bit of time doing the kitchen and dishes and stuff so wasn't sat down all night.

Side note, 5 days into this, and 3 weeks into the change of approach i noticed before my belt is on it's last hole now. I think, that might be an improvement, although visibally i can't see a difference. But yeah, the minute this last hole is loose on me now means there is a clear improvment, that and my pants will fall down lol

You need to allow for recovery. You might think you need to, but you shouldn't.

Admittedly my body has been broken down a little bit this week, especially in my calves, they have been the worst of it.

It is just in my nature to push myself though, generally get up and exercise rather than sit on the couch. burn more calories and least if my muscles hurt, it means i'm doing some good.

Cowboy is right though mate.

Recovery is important. Imagine you are doing all that work on your calf. 3 days solid. That's gonna do a lot of stuff and your calf will need time to get used to it.

Ha, you big fibber. When I told you to go for a run you said you couldn't be bothered to do that after you'd put the kids to bed! Don't start claiming you're Mr Motivator all of a sudden.

If its in my living room i'm more motivated to do then then having to leave the house lol It is the fact i can do it without leaving, and seem to already be developing the mentality of wanting to do something rather than sit on the couch, havent even looked at play play station all week either.

That is why i'm mixing up what i do as well, wouldn't go to zumba classes but stick a 45 minute one on in the living room then i'll feel less ashamed.
