New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Did the Stadium tour the other weekend, it's great and well worth doing if anyone hasn't already - although a noticeable lack of any museum/historical related stuff. Sure it's been asked before in this thread but any ideas when/if this side of it is going to come in? Seems incredible how bad we are at marketing our own history, they spent as much time talking about Tony bellew and Molly McCann (who inexplicably have a mini mural in the south stand) as they did talking about any of the club's history. The only memorabilia of any kind is in on the first floor of the club shop, which is a 1986 fa cup final shirt (a game we lost to the rs) and a Rooney 02-03 shirt (our best ever talent that we sold)....

That hydrolic tower building would be a good place to put his collection in

I thought it had already been ruled out (stand to be corrected) - I think the useable floor space was too small to exhibit everything.

Plus given we are now owned by a US multi-sports outfit, they'll be looking to maximise the £££, so probably more likely to be an overpriced F&B offering.

I do agree with the original sentiment though.

Yeah I read somewhere on here that after a consultation it was deemed not suitable to be turned into a museum space - although I suspect this is probably just an excuse to turn it into a revenue producing endeavour like cafe or restaurant. Someone said the trophies were being moved to trinity Place bar?

Just seems a huge missed opportunity (not like us) to not display all of the trophies, medals, programmes, shirts etc in an interactive museum journey through the clubs history. There was an evertonian on the tour who didn't even know we played at Anfield first...

The upper level of the Everton Store at the stadium could easily be handed over for some sort of museum space.

Of course that would go right against the ethics of this 'kin lot who own this club and who use every square inch of it to sweat fans.

It's odds on that the gas man they just hired will use that pump house now for commercial purposes. Expect a Burger King in that - with royal blue Heinz ketchup sauce available, naturally.

The poll in the season ticket renewal thread: 18% not wanting to renew is some fall away after moving to a new stadium.

Almost one in five disgruntled long term, dyed in the wool fans who have had enough of the KO times, transportation, prices and general Hi-Viz Gestapo experience of Das Neue Fußballstadion.
