New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised how quickly Goodison's atmosphere has been mythologised.

Yes, it was capable of being extraordinary. And it was, on occasion.

But it was also mediocre most of the time, and poor a lot of the time.

I honestly don't think the new ground is any worse. We just haven't had any of those historic moments yet.
This really.
There was no finer place than Goodison when the team left their heart and soul on the pitch, the fans did the same.
When we have a team that goes out to win the fans will respond.

Big blocks of seats available for the Leeds game. Think we'll see a lot more of this, especially for the night games. Prices are really poor in my opinion. £70 for those seats is not a good price.

I put mine and my lads season tickets up on the resale platform last Friday, still unsold. When I put our seats up for resale when we were at Goodison I would get the email to say they were up for sale, a few hours later I would get the email to say they had sold. It was always that way whenever I put them up at Goodison. Now I know there is still a while to go to the Leeds game but as I say, never an issue at Goodison.

Have you any idea how much the TdF transforms the route its going through?

Those problems would have been nothing to fix for a juggernaut event like this.

National funding would have been there for that.

I agree, but that road as its stands isn`t for anything other than mountain bikes.

There`s still bits of rail track embedded in the surface here and there too, hence why it`s very rare to see anyone on a racing bike along there.

It`s a nasty road for cyclists.

The night games aren`t good on school nights if you were to go with the kids, even if it`s a 7.30 ko, you aren`t getting home until gone past eleven if you`re using the trains. ( imo this a big reason for the drop offs in midweek games )

Yes, which is why I made the point I did.

No doubt Bobby Chariot completely ignored mentioning Everton's stadium claims.

The 'kin bad headed rat.

Haven't we go four or five of the next home games all at evening kick offs? absolutely ridiculous for season ticket holders,I know it's the PL not EFC however if this is to be the case going forward I can see there being a large drop off in season tickets and people like me will jack it in and just pick and choose👍

Night matches used to be a treat, but what are we to do with our weekends if there's hardly any afternoon home matches?
I'm so mad I can hardly post.
Will still renew though.

I think this will happen increasingly for less 'glamorous' matches. If I'm able to, I sell my spare to fellow supporters if my son can't go and they have a membership and put it up on the resale platform if nobody I know wants one. However, the Wolves match was the first time it didn't shift on the platform which is a shame as I'd have willingly let it go for less than what it costs me (which is about £46 a match?) but the current set-up won't allow me to do so.

Surely our Toyota overlords could put up a car as a prize if someone hits the crossbar three times in a row or something at half time

At the moment the prize is just a signed shirt if you hit it 💩
I was telling my lad this against Sunderland.

Saw a fella win either a £10k holiday or a car (don’t ask me how I’ve confused the 2) around 2007-2010 ish

There's lots of misty eyed reminiscing on twitter from the GT4 contingent. Acting like it was the epicentre from which Goodison took off in full voice.

The reality is, it probably sounded great to the 20 or so in there singing but the sound very rarely travelled out of that small area to the point they could rarely be heard.
