New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

What do you mean "come on Roydo"?

My take on all this is unchanged. If its 53, 55 or 60000, my position has been firm. It will get built, it will be ace, and we will love it.

If you and others want to jump on a tweet, cos it frames your viewpoint, fine. I would respectfully suggest you look at things from a slightly different angle.
The capacity of the stadium matters. Every single club who we want to be competing with in this league are building, or aiming to build, a stadium in the excess of 60,000. It won’t be ace if it is below that, it will be a clear indication that the board don’t think we belong in that bracket.

Ah, the usual knee jerkers.

Let me guess. SACK.

I've said the owner is responsible for whatever stadium we end up with. And I said that he should communicate if there has been misinformation. I've not said the stadium isn't happenning because I'll be amazed if it doesnt.

50k is simply too small for us and if we are constrained by the site then someone at the club should communicate this to the supporters.

I do agree with some of the concerns RayRay, the way the survey was addressed and the almost "downgrading" of expectations from the fella Meis have certainly given me some slight concern.

I still have some major concerns regarding the whole scheme if im honest, im honestly starting to think StoneCross would have been a much "better" location in regards price to build and expansion in the future.

Im defo not claiming to be an expert on these things, but and I say this respectfully as I can, I doubt the majority of people have even the slightest clue just how hard this whole thing is going to be.

I mean first of all we are gonna be building a stadium, "on the water", water locked on 1 side and pretty much land locked on most of the other sides, in a World Heritage site, with abar 50p for materials.

Of course everybody is focusing on the capacity currently, but I am starting to have some concerns, not that it will be built, more so the fact that im slightly concerned we have committed to a site without REALLY looking into just how difficult the whole thing will be.

This is not true
It is what we call a complex equivalence
Two different factors added together to make an incorrect logical result
There is no relationship between the capacity of the stadium and the boards appetite for success
NONE

Its like saying every other team in the league doesnt aspire to be as "good" as United, simply cos Old Trafford dwarves every stadium in the country.

Voice of reason.

I know who you regard as donkeys... I am wondering who you think the lions are ?
Supporters who refuse to be dumbed down and have their expectations lowered about being fans of one of the biggest clubs in football. There's been an almighty struggle between them and the series of rogues, phoneys and carpet baggers who've slithered in and out of that Everton boardroom for the last three decades.
