New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Now the belittling of the fans starts.

First pictures of the new Meis designed stadium at BM dock:

"i was given a challenging yet rewarding task to build something iconic off the back of a budget of 500 quid, as you can see I have fulfilled the brief of creating an intimate stadium that fires the passion of the fans and absolutely no empty seats. No question it is my best design yet".

Been watching this thread with interest as we have be going through the up as and downs as well of building a new ground
Been looking at what capacity everyone wants, as to be at least 55,000 minimum in evertons case
But I was was wondering as I do do not know bramley Moore dock at all and how big the site is
What is maximum sized group you could build there , or could you build what you want , depending on your finances?

Naturally there are constraints, both physical and financial.

Commence operation Bramley Moor done on the cheap.... "Everton that"

Not really.

Moshiri talks about money being no obstacle in player recruitment, blue shout he's lying. Meiss says that a stadium will have a financial parameter for us, same blues shout that we are doing stuff on the cheap.

Almost like some would moan no matter where says it done.

Reality is, every stadium has a financial limit to it, it's why Chelsea aren't building a 100k seater nor spurs, it's why city when they redevelop are going to 60k not 100k same as the rs etc.

And for god's sake even if money wasn't any restricting factor you don't announce that to the world unless you wanna get milked by every contractor who'll be working on it in terms of costs.

Also note how everyone is picking up on what they perceive as negatives in whsts being saud, whilst ignoring the positive points from the same people.

We've had a history of being lied to, but Christ almighty, a lot of blues seem to be wanting it to go tit's up so they can moan and get internet points by saying they said so all along.

Honest answer, no one knows if the location puts an upper ceiling in what can be built, the space would suggest it shouldn't limit it from anything 60-70k or less though just going off what others have said.

For me they key is to get it to feel right and for it being a place we settle in fast and gets an old school nasty arse away ground atmosphere for any visiting team.

Think the continental trams are starting to realise that importance now, the NFL certainly do, and the designer has a background building for both those.

Not bothered in the slightest if it has less seats than an expanded anfield myself, as long as it becomes something as a blue we can be proud of for many years. And a place that visiting fans are envious of after seeing it.

I’ve been saying for ages that the width of the site looks too short to put a large stadium on a north-south axis.

I am constantly told by other posters that I’m wrong and that the site is big enough, but you can’t ignore the evidence. Just look at the study done for a 60k venue by the engineers in that leaked sketch. There is almost no room for access/egress to the north and south.

That said, if that is the problem, I have no idea why they can’t turn the stadium 90 degrees, as that would allow for a larger capacity.

As it happens, I think 55k-58k is the perfect size.
